Dedication This book is dedicated to four different people… First and always Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior who is actually the true author of all my works, for it is he who gives me the talent, knowledge, and all ability I possess. So therefore I dedicate this book to him first. Secondly I dedicate this book to my dad, Dan. Who I love with all my heart. A man who I never really knew until I left home and found out just how much he loves me. Thirdly I dedicate this book to my mom, Carol. Who has put up with me through it all, and loved me anyway. Never gave up on me, and even when I didn’t deserve it, appreciated my efforts of music (in her own words, “yep, pretty good”). Last, but most definitely not least, I dedicate this book to my loving wife, Sherri. One who tries to understand me. Puts up with my attitudes, frustrations, anticipation’s, and failures; and occasionally her understanding pays off. In times like these (as well as all the other times) when she is espically proud of me. THANK YOU Danny
Introduction This is a compiled group of original works written by Rev. Daniel A. Brown III. We have arranged these works in semi-chronological order, according to the date each was written, (some are in order as to when they were completed as a musical composition, so the dates may not always be exactly in order). Placing them in semi-chronological order will allow you the reader to follow along with the life and experiences of the author. Through reading this book the authors life will unfold before your eyes. You will see first hand the personal joy’s and pains, strengths and weaknesses, struggles, failures and victories. Although the details of Danny’s life are not a part of this book, you will readily see and understand his feelings, convictions, and attitudes as they are reflected through his songs. Danny started writing when he was 19 years old, and had been playing in Gospel singing groups since he was 13. He has gone through many changes; from musician, to singer, to evangelist, to youth pastor, to husband, to dad, to pastor, all during the course of the writings contained in this book. Thus these writings will allow you to appreciate the way in which Jesus, our LORD, who lives in Danny, flows out to others through his pen. We personally want to thank you for choosing this publication, and taking the time to sit down and read it. We sincerely hope that this will be an encouragement and a source of strength, as you read and enjoy this collection.

I know there are times when Satan is tempting you and you feel you just can’t win Oh but in your darkest hour just pray for God’s power He’ll send a legion of angels then you can win
He’ll send a legion of angels to watch over you A legion of angels to carry you through When earth’s seas are raging you need help there’s no doubt He’ll send a legion of angels to pull you out
God’s word says were not fighting against flesh and blood but principalities and powers of this world Oh so without one doubt in ourselves there’s no power But when we call on his wonderful name
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III March 10, 1986 When I wrote “Legion of Angels” I was following the hearse, from Caledonia Assembly of God Church to the Lost Creek Cemetery near Berryman MO, to bury my Grandma Brown. She had been very Ill with cancer for quite some time, so her death came as no surprise. But I, having been so close to her, was taking it rather hard. She was the first person close to me to die. However while driving to the committal service, God gave me a personal promise in the words of this song, “I’ll send a legion of angels, to carry you through”. I believe God had his hand on me and on everything surrounding me on this very special day. Oh, it was a difficult day to get through indeed. But on the other hand, this was a colossal turning point in my life. For with one moment of inspiration, through my own weakness, I found purpose. If I would not have been so distraught emotionally and only about half thinking, I would have never picked up a pen and started writing down the words that were coming to me. Most of the songs I’ve written were written when I was either to tired to think, or at my wits end emotionally. This first one was not only no exception, it was the example. God always brings out his best, in our worst. This one experience changed my life more than any other thing I can think of. Through writing “Legion of Angels” God showed me a great part of the call he had placed on my life. Knowing my Grandma Brown, I’m sure she would have wanted nothing more, than for her grandson to find a key to his spiritual calling through the time of her passing. Grandma “I LOVE YOU”.
Tell Him How Much You Love Him 2
Why don’t you give a little blessing to the Lord today Let him know how much you love him He understands every trial we face leads us through them hand in hand Though we face a little trial every now and then he loves us through every one of them So give a little blessing to the Lord today let him know how much you love him
Come on now pick up your head / stand to your feet Raise up your hands and start to speak Thank the Lord for everything he’s done for making you his son When the praise starts coming from your lips you’ll see how light your burden gets Then your trial will grow so dim just tell him how much you love him
Sometimes we refer to God as love or as our burden bearer But in deed we deny his grace and love for we never kneel in prayer Whether you stand or sit or jump or crawl just thank him now for being God Let him know you know he’s the Lord of all Tell him how much you love him Written By: Daniel A. Brown III Summer 1986
Lord here I am not much to human eyes But I know with your touch you’ll take away my pride And make me a vessel that can be used by you Take my hands to do your will that your plan I may fulfill Just take my life and use it for I’m yours now
I’m yours now my heart my soul my everything I’m yours now for me I want nothing Lord please take away those stains of sin and let me be your child again Just take my life and use it for I’m yours now
Lord I know you hear my plea and all I wish is to be like thee Just take this clay and mold it to the image of your face And if through my life as I walk this road you can touch one more hungry soul My labor is not in vain for I’m yours now
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III July 21, 1986 I’ve Been Washed In The Blood Of The Lamb 4
Now some folks say I shouldn’t talk of blood this way Now that’s bad manners you just don’t talk about those things But once you’ve tasted of that precious crimson flow You just can’t help it gotta tell it everywhere you go
I’ve been washed in the blood of the lamb I’ve been saved, filled with the Holy Ghost I am I am an heir to the God of Abraham I’ve been washed in the blood of the lamb
Oh if your sin sick soul is aching my dear friend Just turn to Jesus tell him all the pain there is He will wash you then you to will understand The blessing there is in the blood of the lamb

Some may think I am a pauper some may think I am a king Some may praise the ground on which I walk while others mock my name But whatever mans opinion is doesn’t matter after all Just as long as I know Jesus and he knows me at judgment call
As long as I know Jesus every things all right with me There is a crown up there for me beyond the glassy sea As long as I know Jesus every things all right with me And though I’m poor, I’ve got much more I’m joint heirs with Christ the King
Many a rich man and many a pauper I may meet from day to day But if I show them God is love then maybe they to will say Come in Lord Jesus and sup with me just fill my cup I pray For as long as I know Jesus everything will be okay
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III Summer 1986 Well I’ve sat down on the back porch many times to write a song I’d write down all my feelings but they always came out wrong I’d tell the folks about Jesus about the father and the son I’d write about his promises and all he’s ever done
Then one day I was praying on my knees before the Lord I realized that his songs are anointed by his word So I read the word and wrote this song to tell you that he came He lived and died, was crucified that you might be redeemed
So if you hear my message fall on your knees and pray He’ll save your soul, and cleanse your heart he’ll give you peace today But please don’t wait to long for he is surely calling now His voice is soft and tender listen to him please somehow
For friend the wages of sin are death but the gift of God is eternal life Chose this day whom you will serve make Jesus the Lord of your life He came he died upon the cross to save your soul from all it’s loss If you will ask, he’ll set you free and you will live eternally In your heart just believe and he will set you free

I was rolling down old Forty listening to the radio Didn’t know where I was headed had no place to go But as I listened to the words of a radio song I realized They were singing about Jesus and how for me he died
Didn’t know the words to the song so I didn’t sing along I just kept on driving nowhere as I listened to the songs There was something about the message of the tunes that I recall Jesus blood can heal my body and his love would save us all
(Power in the blood Chorus)
So I gave my life to Jesus now I know those songs are true Jesus saved my soul, and made me whole turned gray skies into blue Now I’m singing for the master as on down life’s road I go And if you’ll give him your life he’ll wash you white as snow
(I believe Jesus saves, and His blood washes whiter than snow)

Do you remember old Daniel when he was thrown in the lions den He just kept on a praying and the lions could not hurt him For God had shut the mouths of the lions and they couldn’t even roar And Daniel went on praying even more than he did before
I’m so excited, I’m excited I feel like singing I’m so excited, I’m excited I’ve just got to praise the Lord And when we praise him, we start rejoicing we’ll have that victory Go get excited, get excited come and see
When the day of Pentecost had fully come and they were all with one accord They just kept on a praying and praising the Lord There came a sound from Heaven as a rushing mighty wind And he filled their utmost being yes every one of them Written By: Daniel A. Brown III 8/28/1986 This song was written while I was playing bass guitar for a gospel singing group in St. Louis MO. The only problem was I had to stand still, not move at all, and play simple base patterns, I was even instructed not to move my lips along with the singers. Well to say the least, my feelings spilled out, and we wound up with, “I’m So Excited”.
Well when I was but a child we would sing them good old songs About Jesus coming back to take his children home Now the signs are oh so clear that that time is drawing near Soon that day will be here and I can’t wait
I can’t wait, till I get to the other side I can’t wait, in his love I’ll ever abide When he takes me by the hand I will join that angel band To sing praises to the lamb and I can’t wait
Well as Jesus was ascending up into the clouds of glory He said comfort one another with this simple little story If he went away, he’d come again and would receive us unto him I can’t wait till that day I can’t wait
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III An Overcomer’s Standing Here 10
You say you just don’t know how hard it is to meet the Devil eye to eye Don’t you know that he’s defeated when in Christ’s love ye abide Though many tears many times you may have seen me cry I conquered every trial when I stood at Jesus side
I know I know I surely know it makes my joy bells ring No trial can overcome me when in God’s word I’m standing So when I feel persuaded to yield to earthly fears I confess to everyone around an Overcomer’s standing here
If we ask of the father for a little piece of bread Do you think he would give us a stone instead Remember Paul and Silas and I think that you will find All of Jesus’ answers keep coming right on time

Bill collector called today nothing new he had to say Except my payments overdue but that I already knew It seems my road is full of bends there’s always something to attend it seems my trials never end
But Jesus, is the answer when all of mine have failed And Jesus, is the sea calmer when my ship has failed to sail When the mountains to high or the rivers to wide it seems I’ve reached the bitter end Well I don’t know how but Jesus helps me through it once again
Trials surround me on all sides there are tears in my eyes On this one thing I can depend that he is coming back again And when I think of him returning then my soul begins to yearning I see these trials are little things
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III 8/27/1986
Just why I live for Jesus some folks just can’t understand They just don’t know the peace there is when holding to his hand They never knelt and prayed at an altar the way that I once did They don’t realize that Jesus died for them that they might live
(But) I saw the tree where Jesus bled and died for all my sins On that cruel tree he paid the price now I can have sweet peace within And if that’s not enough he has promised us he’d give us everlasting life I just must live for Jesus every day of my life
As Jesus rose up through the clouds he said comfort one another with these words If I go away I will come again and the story we’ve often heard But if you fail to heed the masters call and kneel at an altar of prayer He’ll come and take his bride away and you’ll be left in your despair
Written By Daniel A. Brown III August 1986
Sometimes I’m low in spirit sometimes I feel all alone But when I turn to Jesus he’s always there to help me through the storm Though sometimes I can’t see the light of day He’s there beside me all the way He meets my need and then he gently leads me on
Lead me on, precious Jesus Lead me on though the way is rough For whatever comes my way I know that you can lead me on Lead me on, through the midnight Lead me on, though tears hide the light Lead me on, Blessed Savior Lead me on
Lord there are things in my life I don’t understand Things in this life, I can’t comprehend But by your grace, you’ll see me through till that day I reign with you So whether darkness of night, or light of day I know that you are going to make a way So answer Lord, please when I pray for you to lead me on
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III 8/26/1986 Some folks just don’t understand the change that’s been in me But though they don’t believe it it don’t change the facts you see Christ died upon Mt. Calvary on the third day rose again He set me free and I’m gonna sing and bless his name again
I’m so glad that, Jesus found me I’m so happy, because I’m free He sent his spirit, it’s dwelling in me and now I’m shouting victory Let’s keep singing, keep on shouting have a little heaven, while were down here And the road is so much brighter and our path is full of cheer
Now you may think I’m crazy or maybe just insane But that really doesn’t matter though there’s power in Jesus name And if you don’t receive it surely death will be your goal But as for those who still receive let’s sing before we go
He set me free so I can sing his praises unto him When I sing his praises his power comes again So I’ll sing until old Gabriel blows his trumpet loud and strong & When he blows that trumpet lord the saints are going home Written By: Daniel A. Brown III 7/30/1986 Satan has some strong holds holding these people down If they refuse to praise the lord let the stones make a joyful sound Jesus is a sure foundation he’s the rock that won’t roll away Just turn your eyes to Jesus say old devil get out of the way
You can’t ride on the fences You can’t ride on the wall You can’t ride on the fences for the fence is fixing to fall Jesus said your either cold or hot better make your choice today Better make your choice to serve the Lord or brother your fixing to pay
You’ve been living compromise exceptions to the rules Peer pressure all around you and you don’t know which to choose Either get right or get left my friend you’ve got everything to lose Because if you miss that rapture you’ll soon be singing the blues
Remember Christ the savior when he cursed that old fig tree He said if you don’t bare no fruit you ain’t no good to me So if that flesh your living in is just an empty shell You better get your house in order so you’ll save your soul from hell Written By: Daniel A. Brown III August 3, 1986 Touch Some Soul Through Me Today 16
Headlines read disaster the world is falling apart A child far away is dying and sometimes just of a broken heart The anchor man says there is no hope for survivors lost at sea Our evening news is so depressing it seems it’s killing you and me
Lord please give me eyes to see me fellow man who’s crying desperately Let me show their aching wasting soul you can wash him make him white as snow Help me not to see his filthy rags just let me see the pain he has Just let me be your vessel lord to touch that soul through me today
While there is just no place like home in this beautiful land of the free We seem to be so blinded living in our luxury Every where it’s all around us the end times are here right now How can we justify our blinded eyes our friends are headed straight for hell
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III August 1986
When people don’t understand me Lord sometimes they take me wrong His love will always pull me through He holds my hand and makes me strong Though Satan come against me Like a mighty roaring lion I know from whenst cometh my help there’s power in Jesus name
Lord you are so loving no man can be so kind I love you Lord with all my heart my body soul and mind Very soon your coming for your bride with robes of spotless white And on that white cloud in the sky to heaven we will fly
When Jesus was down here on earth he went through trials, tribulation, and pain But his father up in heaven above gave him all power through his name Now he’s sitting at his fathers side at the right hand of the King Interceding for you and I He gives us strength when we call his name
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III August 1986 PRAISE THE LORD THROUGH THE VALLEYS 18
Way down somewhere in my soul there’s a longing To see Jesus have his way in my life With every trail that comes my way He will give me when I pray The answer to all this worlds pain and strife
Prince of peace, God of plenty From whom all blessings flow Jehovah God, Lord God almighty I want the whole wide world to know Though there (are) mountains, in the way He will move them when you pray And praise the Lord, through the valleys Praise the Lord
Oh the friends I meet along this road I’m walking May not understand, the way I feel inside and though the road is dark and drear I’ve a friend who’s always near He is my closest friend, in him I can abide If ye abide in me, and I in thee You have never need to fear For when the trials come, and the pressure’s on You will find I’m always near So keep on walking, down that road, Until you reach that final goal And you will find, every time, On every mountain, you must climb That I am there, to give you cheer And blessed strength, in your despair So just trust in me, Just trust in me And I’ll be there Written by; Daniel A. Brown III 8/19/86 1:00 a.m. HE WILL PERFORM YOUR MIRACLE 19
Let me tell you a story, that happened long ago About Abraham and Sarah, this is how the story goes Now the lord told old Abraham, your gonna have a son And Abraham believed it, what the Lord said it would be done
Sarah laughed when she heard the news, she said this could not be true She was at the age of 90, her womb was barren since her youth But what the Lord said he completed, Sarah’s miracle was done Abraham fathered many nations, Just as the Lord said would be done
Well God knows the miracle, Your looking for today Turn to him for the answer, he will not turn you away Don’t speak defeat or faithlessness, believe the word he says and He will perform your miracle, Just put your trust in Jesus hands
Well I was once in bondage, to every person place and thing I was lost in the dark of night, could not see the light of day Then I heard Jesus calling me, from the bondage’s of sin And I gave it all to Jesus, and he gave me peace within
He will perform your miracle He will he said he would He will perform your miracle He will don’t ya know he could If you’ll just ask him believing It’s already on the way He will perform your miracle Just believe him when you pray
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III August 1988
Do you recall in John the twentieth chapter When the Lord, came unto them And when they saw him there in their presence He spoke peace, peace unto them
One more time lord let us feel your presence One more time like you did back then Just let us feel your precious Holy Spirit Moving through our lives once again
If we but get our hearts in the attitude of worship and we begin to praise the lord He’ll send his spirit into our presence just like he did on that day before Written By: Daniel A. Brown III
Written at Bob & Ida Lawson’s at the old upright piano I had put in their living room. We would often have singings and prayer meetings in her living room or out on the porch. What wonderful memories of the power of God saturating the room with his presence. That was truly our prayer, every time we came together, “One More Time LORD”
Today I started down a street I used to trod I saw that same old crowd I used to be a part of I saw their disappointment their gloom and deep despair And I prayed to God in heaven help me to make them aware
God still saves, he saves no matter where you’ve been He’ll change your life completely and give you peace within He’ll take you off that road your walking with such a heavy load And put you on the straight and narrow that will lead to streets of gold
Now my friend if your the one this song was written for Please listen to it’s message for it’s meaning is much more You see streets with signs and pot holes need repair from day to day But the message in this song is love that will never fade away
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III 1986 Let’s Stop … And Thank The Lord 22
When lightning strikes, and thunder rolls it seems this world is growing cold And when you stop and look around there’s not a friend that can be found And when you can’t tell night from day your answer seems so far away Just take the time to look up now cause Jesus is reaching down
So let’s STOP! and thank the Lord for the valleys along the road And when we thank him, through the testing he starts to pouring, another blessing
You say you don’t quite understand just how he reaches down his hand How by giving thanks through trials you face he gives you this unseeming grace But just you try it and you’ll find that it will work time after time Just take the time to look up now for Jesus is reaching down
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III 6/15/86 The Captain Is Leading Me Home 23
Down Here we go through tribulation just why we don’t understand But I know God’s there beside me for I feel him holding my hand When it seems I’ve reached the end of my rope he reaches down and puts me back in the boat And soon I’ll sail to the other shore and I’ll praise his name ever more
I’m going home some happy day I will reach that heavenly shore I’ll have no more pain all sunshine no rain and I’ll see those who’ve gone on before And though I’ve been through some rough seas down here and though I’ve seen the billows grow fierce My captain has guided my vessel so well soon I’m gonna’ stand and tell
Hey everybody listen to me now I’ve got somethin’ that I wanna’ tell you about I’ve come cross the rivers and the seas and oceans but Jesus helped me keep my ship in motion No stormy gale no wind to rough that Jesus couldn’t make a way out for us Now we’ve nearly made it to that heavenly shore Let’s praise his name ever more
If you see my burdens heavy I’m cumbered with a load of care Don’t worry about my burden my father dries every tear Just whisper a word of prayer for me and the master will calm the raging sea And although the ways been rough and long I’ll still be singing my song Written By: Daniel A. Brown III 1986
Where will you go when the party’s over To who will you turn when friends are gone And loneliness has hovered all around you Just call on Jesus for the strength to carry on
He’s there in lonely times He’s there when you need him He’s there when all the worlds against you or you just might need a friend He’s there through every disappointment though you stumbled and you fell He’ll pick you up and start you singing put a rainbow through your cloud as well
So many people in this world have so much heartache They just can’t seem to find which way to go But if they could only turn to Jesus He’d be there friend as on down life’s road they go
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III 7/23/1986 He Has Called Us To His Kingdom 25
Some he made apostles to preach his holy word Some he made evangelists to sing and preach from church to church But to us yes every one and all he gave a ministry He has called us to his kingdom so that men may be set free
Now Jesus came from heaven and he walked among men He came for our redemption to fulfill salvation’s plan He died upon Mt. Calvary on the third day rose again He has called us to his kingdom to win lost souls to him
He said, Friends I must go away to set at my fathers side He’s up there in that land so fair my pilot and my guide He is building me a mansion fair next to his fathers throne He has called us to his kingdom and very soon he’ll take us home
Written By Daniel A. Brown III
We talk down here about troubles about sins and the things of this life We see all the heartache and struggle and we say lord why must we cry He says there’s a soul out there crying please give me peace within So we go on a singing, a teaching, and preaching so another can make him their friend
Oh sinner please listen if there’s something you’re missing my Lord has the key for you today He said he would be there to answer your prayer just fall on your knees and pray If you’ll just ask believing in your heart you’ll receive him he’ll come in and make your heart right He’ll walk there beside you his big hand to guide you and give you eternal life
We talk down here about mansions about gold and the things of this life But there’s only one true satisfaction that makes you feel good down inside It’s not found in a bottle, in a pill-box, or wallet or smoking something just to get high The only real satisfaction, comes from the action of making Jesus the Lord of your life Written By: Daniel A. Brown III Fall 1984 My friend let me paint a picture of a man who’s race is run A warning is in order if you, know not, God’s son For the scene upon my canvas is not pretty to the eye But if you will heed it’s warning your soul will never die You see a man called Christ descended a long long time ago He spoke of love and mercy and of how to free the soul But they tried and convicted him they mocked him to shame He died upon a rugged tree loving you through all his pain Now it’s been many years since he was here and the story is often told Many won’t receive it say it happened so long ago But if you’ll heed this warning he will save your soul from sin And when you start believing you will find true peace within Now friend you can see the picture unveiled before your eyes It has no fancy border but it brings a soft surprise If you’ll believe the story your eyes see, your soul will tell Though the painting’s rather simple the message saves your soul from hell
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III August 1986
You say it’s hard, to find a real friend one who’ll stick through thick and thin When trials come, it seems their all gone there’s no one to lend a hand I know a friend who is that real friend on him you can depend If you’ll put your trust in this friend he’ll go with you through the end
He’s my friend when ever I need him He’s my friend and he holds my hand He’s my friend through the darkness of midnight He is my closest friend like no other has ever been
In Psalms, the 37th chapter King David, of old once said “I have never, seen the righteous forsaken or their seed, out begging for bread” So when friends down here they leave you they may leave you, all alone Simply put your trust in Jesus he will never, leave you on your own
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III August 22, 1986 Help Me Keep My Eyes Upon You 29
Lord you know I have some faults and oft times they get me down But as long as I stand beside you I’m heading for that Higher Ground I speak your name and your there again even in my lowest hour Guiding me so I can see I’m learning overcoming power
Oh Lord I need to feel your touch the double portion of your grace I need to feel your nail scarred hands see the image of your face Let my soul be endued with power that comes from God on high Help me keep my eyes upon you for you may come back tonight
Yes now I can see the answer to every trial I go through I just keep my eyes upon his face his nail scarred hand will lead me through So Lord take my hand, my heart and soul until we stroll that golden strand And when I finally reach that city I will join that angel band
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III August 1986 Never Despair, Jesus Is There 30
Are the winds a little gusty are the waves a little rough Do you say when your tossed about the storms just never let up There’s not a man in all this world who can calm the winds and still the turmoil So quit looking for a hero and let Jesus have control
Never despair Jesus is there When no one cares he’ll care for you Never despair Jesus is there When your load’s to hard to bear he will share it with you
There’s no valley that’s to big there’s no mountain that’s to high There’s no ocean that’s to far across he is right there at your side Whether death of a loved one or when work cannot be found Remember all things work for the good though it seems you’ve run aground Written By: Daniel A. Brown III 9/11/1986
Does Satan come against you he surround you like a flood When your trying to walk forward do you bog down in the mud Remember that old story in the Bible it was told ‘Bout Moses and old Israel and how God let them go Well Pharaoh had God’s children in bondage unto him He would not let them go so God sent plagues throughout the land Israel came down to the Red Sea and they walked right on across But Pharaoh’s army drowned for our God let down the walls God will part the water Satan’s rolling in on you He’ll dry up all the mud so that you can walk on through When you’ve done all that you can to stand then he will stand for you And when you and Jesus stand old Satan he is through Well victory can be sung now by anyone that’s true Because Satan was defeated when Christ Jesus died for you So when that toothless lion starts roaring, say hey look Satan your defeated See here it’s written in the book

There are things which I have done before things of which I am not proud When I think of them at night I don’t sleep, I just toss about Then I remember how Jesus bled and died to take away my sin Those sins are gone, they’re all washed away he made me a brand new man
Lord I want to be a witness for you, and show your glory I want to tell the world just what you’ve done for me Let some hurting soul hear what I have to say as I lift up your holy name Lord I want to be a witness for you and help my brother through
Now when I see someone in sin I see the load their bearing And I wish that they could feel the love with Jesus I am sharing But can they hear without a preacher how will they know without they’re told If we don’t share the love of Jesus they’ll never walk on streets of gold
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III 9/10/1986 SEEK OUT THE OLD PATHS, AND WALK THEREIN 33
In Jeremiah 6 and 16 We find the Lord once said Ask for the old paths For your souls you will find rest Every promise in the book is mine I know that this one is If I’ll seek out the old paths And walk therein
Seek out the old paths And walk therein The way of our Fathers Who sought after God’s command Let’s read our Bibles Pray again and again Let’s seek out the old paths And walk therein
You say Satan’s come against you He’s surrounding like a flood Well get down on your knees Read the word, and plead the blood Then stand up and tell old Satan Get in line with the word For He must heed to our every command If first from God we’ve heard Daniel A. Brown III 9/12/86 6:00 a.m.
For many a year we’ve tried to fight our battles Through many a tear we’ve seen weak foundations crumble If we’d give God control before the battle rages We’d mount with wings as eagles set our feet upon high places
Let go and let God fight your battle Let go and let God win the victory Just let him know your faith will never waiver Let go and let God and he will set you free
You say there are times your faith is weaker And when you start to climb the mountain just gets steeper But in those times just look to the savior And you will find the way will grow much brighter
Written by: Daniel A. Brown III 9/16/86 11:00 p.m. LORD, LET ME SHOW SOMEONE THE WAY 35
Lord I know you made the flowers grow and you made the trees to stand And I know that you have healed the sick with just one touch of your hand I know that all things will work out for the good for them who love the Lord How to tell a dying world they need you I somehow just don’t understand
Oh Lord please give me the words to say to show someone the way Someone who’s aching way down deep inside and they can find nowhere to hide Help me make them to understand just how you’ve made me a brand new man Let me be your light to shine today let me show someone the way
You know life’s road can get so rough at times you feel like giving up I know someone who’ll make a way he’ll turn you dark night into day Although it seems your at the end just look up to God and then You will find the strength you need today he’ll show your heart the way
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III 9/16/86 11:50 p.m. 2nd verse written 3/16/87 10:30 a.m.
We come to church on Sunday morning kneel to pray, and stand and sing Listen to a fifteen minute sermon then we hear that dinner bell ring We bow our heads, and fold our hands God is great, God is good Amen Then it’s back next Sunday morning to go through the same old thing
Well were going through the motions we’ve got all the right moves We know where to sit, and where to stand but it seems were warming the pews We’ve lost the desire to intercede and spend time with the Lord down on our knees While we’re going through the motions our first love we failed to keep
Well we’re proud to claim the Christian name to friends we meet and see But our actions speak louder than our words when you’re out upon the street We don’t go to movies or worldly places that would be a sin But a love for a lost and dying world we’ve failed to keep within

In Isaiah Chapter 40 the prophet once spake They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength they shall mount up with wings as eagles run and not be weary, walk and not faint So I’m waiting on the Lord and He’s giving me strength
On wings as eagles I’m learning how to fly ON wings as eagles sailing to lofty heights While the storms, are a raging I’m waiting on the Lord Upon wings as an eagle I’m safely above the storm
Their are times I feel lonely sometimes I’m tossed about When I see the situation there seems to be no way out Then I’m reminded about waiting and I know it comes to pass So I put my faith in Jesus for he’s the only one that lasts Written By: Daniel A. Written at Vito & Sondra Salamone’s house, one night after a prayer meeting, where God’s presence was powerful. WHY CAN’T WE LOVE ONE ANOTHER 38
At times the battle is raging and we become so confused When someone is aching we somehow fail to be used Why can’t we just turn to Jesus his word will show what to do Why can’t we love one another the way the Lord would have us do
Why can’t we love one another learn to make each other strong While each one prays for the other become the way we belong When in accord we’re together we know the spirit is near Why can’t we love one another and fill our hearts with cheer
At times it seems I’m self centered all I think about is me Someone somewhere is hurting and I’m too blind to see If I can just see the master let his love flow through me I can love my brother what a blessing it will be

I have not a man, said the man at Bethesda Not a man to put me in when the waters troubled, and set me free So Jesus washed away his sin with the love of God Jehovah Said rise take up thy bed ad walk and it was done immediately
Well their is not a man who can put you in the water Their is not a man who can set your spirit free But I know the son of man and he has walked upon the water And He sacrificed his life so that we could be set free
Some folks may think they need a man someone who’ll help them when they’re weaker They just don’t understand how Jesus blood could set them free But Jesus has a plan that works for every believer You see He died upon the cross His blood was shed to set you free

My friend now you may have a problem you can’t handle It may be you have a need his love could touch You know he’s God’s son and he has proven he is able So turn it loose, let him have it give it up
You can’t look down if your believing for a miracle You can’t look down if your expecting God to touch Lift up your head if you believe God is able To receive from the lord you’ve got to look up
Now you know God can still be touched by our infirmities There’s not a need you’ve ever had he hasn’t felt So your burdens heavy and your crying down upon your knees Remember to look to the hills whence cometh thy help

There are times when we must carry such load And there’s times when this worlds cares bring us low But in those times of troubled minds we can look to him and find This joy divine when you love him and let him know
Let him know how much you love him let him know Let him know by your deeds for words can’t show Don’t allow old Satan to steel your time with God Let him know how much you love him let him know
When we humans love someone we let them know By little things we do we let our feelings show Well we’re made in the image of the Lord and to show him love is what we’re here for So let him know how much you love him let him know

So many a loved one has gone on before Grandma and Grandpa and so many more To know that I’ll see them brings tears to my eyes But first I’ll see Jesus for me he did die Come quickly Lord Jesus and take us away My heart longs to see you could you come today We soon shall see clearly your sweet loving face Come quickly Lord Jesus and take us away Now I know the pathway may bring you despair And sometimes is seems that nobody cares But remember he’s coming and soon we will rise To meet him with millions up there in the skies

Although this is not what I feel is one of my best songs, it does have a special place in my heart. I was sitting at my Grandpa Brown’s kitchen table with my guitar, and he said “Why don’t you write a cowboy song, like they sang way back when?”. So I started playing around and “Come Quickly Lord Jesus” came out. I Know I’ll Soon Be Going Home 43
Jesus said to occupy, till his return Spread the gospel, until everyone has heard When every land has heard the news Then he’d return And I know I’ll soon be going home
My friend if you see me stand alone Don’t worry, my heart still has a song Though very few will stand for right And shun the wrong We know we will soon be going home
Well I know I’ll soon be going home My feet will never again roam I’m gonna wake up one morning Find from this old world I’m gone I know I’ll soon be going home
Now my friend , if you’re afraid to heed the call Do not fear, the word declares, he’ll make you strong The only thing you must do, is say lord take me all Then you to will soon be going home

Well make fun if you please while I’m down on my knees Say there’s no God and this religion’s just a fable But if you’ll look around and see just what the Lord has done for me Then you will have to agree my God is able
I wanna be under the spout where the glory of God comes out When he pours out his spirit on his people And I know without a doubt his love will find a way out When I need a hand to guide me he is able
Jesus said in the Last Days he’d send his spirit in many ways Peace Joy and Love are just a few to mention And I can honestly say I possess them all today And his love knows no separation

When I was young my mother often warned me “If you procrastinate your work will never end” When we put off our time of Gods word reading It hurts God so for he knows our strengths therein
Out of this word flows healing from the Savior Out of this word a fountain pure and clean It is the balm that cleanses every believer Out of this word flows love to you and me
Now when the cares of life have run you over And the road just seems to go nowhere Your burdens heavy and you wish the Lord were closer Just read his word and you will find him waiting there

They say that all good things must end and that a loser cannot win A man that’s hurting deep within is never truly freed from sin But there is one who’s always been he’s the son of the God of Abraham Though the dark of night once reigned within I’m abiding in the light of the son of man I know that I have been washed clean with the blood of Calvary My song of praise will always be to the one who died for me My heart once battered scarred and torn can sing a song of praise once more Yes Jesus has my soul reborn and he will always be my lord Some say we’re the victim of destiny some say what will be will be A blinded man can never see the futures bleak for you and me But I know one who calmed the sea and that same one now lives in me If his child you will be then you will live eternally Written By: Daniel A. In many ways, the days we live are stepping stones And the steps we take will someday lead us home What a joy to know that soon you’ll find me gone I’m gonna leave this world of sorrow I’m going home
Going home I’m going home The race I’m running now will soon be done Going home I’m going home I’m gonna leave this world of sorrow I’m going home
Now my friend if you don’t share this joy I’m feeling Your heart cannot be thrilled with this song Just open up your heart let God make it his dwelling Then this joy will be yours for you to will be going home

Well I’m reminded of two cities so evil and bad their sins were second to none Homosexuals and Prostitutes everywhere they had but a righteous man there was none God rained down fire from heaven he destroyed their filthy land With fire and brimstone, he burnt them to a crisp when he simply said well done Well done, Well done your reward you will receive Well done, Well done you could have just believed Whether well done faithful servant enter thou into the joys of the Lord Or well done burn forever We will all receive our reward Well remember in the Bible, a story that was told about people and their love for gold Ananias and Saphira lied to the Lord they didn’t think he’d keep his word Well God said your gonna pay for this evil deed your justice you will receive So he struck them dead right there on the spot when he simply said well done When I complete my journey, and I stand before God with a list of all the deeds that I’ve done I wanna hear him tell’em spare the chastening rod his names here, he’s my son Every sin that I’ve committed is under the blood and now I’m glory bound My eternal reward is over on the other shore where I’ll hear God say well done

Some Christians think they’re pulling the wool right down over daddy’s eyes They think what’s done in secret will never come to light They think their secret sins have really been disguised And no one knows, just them alone but daddy knows
Daddy knows the number of each hair upon my head He knows where ere I wonder he knows when I go to bed His eyes see every sparrow fall he hears each baby cry Whether big or small, he loves us all yes, daddy knows
Now when I get discouraged when these knees, have failed to stand When it seems that no one cares for me there’s no one to lend a hand When it seems I’m at my lowest and I need to feel God’s power It’s then that I’m reminded yes, Daddy knows

If today I lost all I own my possessions in this world And I had to start all over again to make it the best I could Well I know if I had Jesus everything would be okay For as long as I have Jesus I have everything I need Jesus is all to me, he’s everything I need He’s the breath of life, when I am weak he gives me strength when I call his name He’s the one, who’s made, the flowers grow he’s made mine eyes to see Jesus is all to me, he’s everything I need Before I have taken for granted all my blessings from the Lord I didn’t realize he cared for me and he’d be with me where I’d go But now he lifts me up above the clouds when I meet him on bended knee And through the storm, I’m not alone he is everything I need Tag Jesus is all to me, he’s everything I need He’s the light at the end of the darkness that light I now can see Although, I’m looking, through a smoky glass very soon his face I’ll see Jesus is all to me, he’s everything I need

He told me, child your chosen He told me, child your loved He called me to his kingdom I’m royalty now through his blood He’s given me the power to reign victorious over sin I’ve traded guilt and such confusion for this peace I have within
So I will sing and praise his holy name I will sing a song of worship I will sing a song of praise I’ll gladly stand up for the Savior just as he stood for me I’ll praise his name for the redemption he bought for me on Calvary
When the road ahead gets long and dark with burdens and with cares I call his name, and he’s there again in the hour of my despair So why should I go to another when perfect peace I’ve found It seems like I’m in heaven although my feet are on the ground

Many times I feel unworthy I feel oh so small When Satan starts to whisper those lies that once made me fall I feel the hand of Jesus and I know he’s always there He walks beside me all the while I know my Jesus cares
Jesus cares for me Oh yes he cares for me He sends his angels to watch over me He walks right by my side and the evil he betides He meets my every need yes Jesus cares for me
Now when Satan starts to whisper I say get thee behind Jesus gave me authority old slew-foot which to bind With the tempter far behind me I shall live in victory Shouting glory hallelujah Jesus cares for me

Did you ever hear someone say look at that mans hands You can tell he’s had a hard life he must have lived from off the land But the greatest story ever told by the hands of any man Was the story that the nail prints showed when Jesus died to cleanse my sin
His hands showed suffering his hands knew pain His hands healed sick bodies with just one touch their whole again His hands bore my cross on the way to Calvary And his hands still showed such love as soldiers nailed them to the tree
As a child I thought my mothers hands were the best I’d ever view Her hands were always gentle she always knew just what to do They pointed right to Jesus and every time he was there With his hands outstretched he’d whisper Peace, my child I care Written By: Daniel A. Brown III November 24, 1986
Even though this song mentions my Mothers hands, it was actually my Daddy’s hands that inspired this song. He, being an auto body repair man, always had callused, cracked, and dirty looking (stained) hands. I remember many times seeing his hands and thinking to myself, I’ll never let my hands look like that. But one day it suddenly dawned on me, that each of those scars, scrapes, scratches, and stains were made trying to support me and our family. Then suddenly those same hands went from ugly to precious in my eyes. And I could see Jesus hands, though scarred, precious also.
There’s a place I hold so dear to my heart it’s a place I often go So many have found this peace I have now it’s beauty so often has been told To the human eye it’s attraction is so small it’s there my Savior gave his all And all who go there, can have peace within and find strength within to be strong
Oh Calvary is my refuge when I’m troubled and my light grown dim And at Calvary, I find strength to be triumphant over sin Oh my friend just look to Jesus for your strength in the time of storm And you will find, a hand so kind waiting there at Calvary
Now at Calvary, so long ago a man named Jesus, he died And on a cruel cross, for all my sin the son of God was crucified But on the third day, he rose up from the grave over sin and death victorious He reigns today and he sent me to say he loves you just as much
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III December 4, 1986 Why Must We Bury Our Wounded Soldier 55
There are often warriors wounded in battle At the face of the enemy It seems their strength is gone But with some prayer and assistance Dr. Jesus can heal them And when that warrior returns to war He’ll learn to fight and be strong
Why must we bury our wounded soldier When we could pray for them and make them strong We could make them whole again with the love of our father Oh we must try and make that weak soldier strong
Now there are many who sometimes stumble And through there own weaknesses submit to sin But when we see them stumble we should learn to be humble Kneel and help them before they crumble instead of walking over them Written By: Daniel A. Brown III September 1986 There Ain’t No-body, Gonna Hold My Body Down 56
Jesus is coming soon this I surely know Without a doubt I know it’s true the Bible tells me so And it also says to comfort one another with these words So I’m singing shouting happy for the good news I have heard
There ain’t nobody Gonna’ hold my body down There ain’t nobody Gonna’ keep me on the ground When Jesus calls me to the sky That very moment I’m gonna’ fly There ain’t nobody Gonna’ hold my body down
Now when you feel disheartened Getting lower by the hour Your looking all around you for some kind of peace or power Just take a look toward heaven and then on to the throne You’ll have peace like a river for your God’s still on the throne
Jesus said in the last days he would pour out of his spirit He’d give of peace and power to everyone who’d hear it So when I’m feeling lowly cares of life are weighing down I put my faith in Jesus and my mind is glory bound Written By: Daniel A. Brown III December 23, 1986
Well you can talk to your neighbor, you can talk to the wall you can talk to the man on the radio You can talk until, you are blue in the face and still not make your feelings known But when you get your mind on Jesus, and you talk to the Lord he hears every single word Their is no misunderstanding, no request is to demanding when you speak to him you know your always heard
So just tell it to Jesus whenever you may have a problem No matter what the situation you know that he will always solve them Just start to praying in the spirit you know that he will always hear it And he will answer when you speak it he is the only one who can
Now when you discover, the power in prayer and you see what simple faith can do You’ll see he’s one true friend, whenever you call on him no matter where, he comes through When you speak to him in secret, and with faith you believe it no telling what you can do You will always receive, what you need when you ask him so talk to him and he will bring you through Written By: Daniel A. Brown III December 27, 1986 You Can Believe, He Set Me Free 58
Now many’s the man with a heart stained from sin A life ruined and wasted full of hurting within But Jesus can heal them if you will just let him He’ll set your soul free yes I know he can
You can believe he set me free His I will be and he’s gonna love me
If like an old piano your life is out of tune Although some parts are broken he’ll make it all like new Just give him the chance to take what you’ve wasted Mold it and make it pure crystal clear tune

I’m so lonely now, my skies are gray and no one’s around to talk to Seems my friends have all gone away guess they thought they ought to Though I’m blue inside, my tears I hide I don’t let them see me cry Without a doubt I know that I need Jesus in my heart
Oh Jesus come meet me I need you to talk to And I need to feel your hand along life’s’ narrow way With just one touch you’ll meet my need I ask you right here on my knees Jesus please please please Lord please help me
Now as I walk life’s’ road each day fulfilling that days tasks I know a hand is leading me and I’m safe from Satan’s blasts Though the tempter throw his darts at me sometimes makes me fall I’m going on with Jesus for he is my all in all Written By: Daniel A. Brown III January 15, 1987
I had a dream the other night it was a sad sad dream I dreamed I walked away and the lord he said to me Child, where you going child, child, child I said Lord I’m gone long, long gone, …then I realized
Jesus, I love you Jesus, I really do Jesus, I love you, Lord, Lord I really do Lord, Lord, Lord, Lord, Lord I know I love you Jesus Lord, I really do love you
A man in this world, is no place at all a man without the lord, is bound to fall I know without a doubt at all Jesus is my life Without the lord, I’m bound to lose Without your love, I’m paying the dues The Lord shows mercy on me And I love him truly

One day while driving home and listening to the radio I fell asleep and drifted off the road headed for a concrete pole Then so suddenly awakened as I hit a small chug-hole I said Lord I’ve never been to heaven but I just came mighty close
I’ve never been to heaven but I once came mighty close If Jesus hand had not been on me my life would have been over But his angels were watching over me and his hand still leads the way So Lord please keep your hand on me For I need you more today
Now through the daily struggle that life may send our way We’ve all encountered situations when we nearly entered heavens gates Oh the lesson this could teach us now just how urgent is the hour We would all become bold witnesses to God’s awesome saving power
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III January 22, 1987 The Steps Of A Good Man Are Ordered By The Lord 62
Some men see the Bible as a little promise book And it’s sure full of promises but ya’ better take a second look For seeing is believing when your face to face with sin And if there’s rebellion in your heart you’ll never have true peace within
The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord And the fruit of his labor is a flourishing reward Though he be criticized, false accused, and mocked among men The savior walks before him and his heart is free from sin
God’s orders are always given just to whom they may concern Concerned enough to walk the walk or they won’t go when he returns And his orders are not always the way of least resistance But when your stepping in the steps of Jesus You will have his sweet assistance
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III January 21, 1987 I don’t need, any wishing wells I don’t need any time to cry All I need, is my savior there walking right by my side Then at night when I’m troubled I can sing a lullaby And when I run to him I have a quiet place to hide
When the talk of the town, starts to get me down and it’s more than I can bear All I have to do, is look around and I find that he is there Waiting right there patiently for me to call his name And when I call on him his words are still the same
Child, your heart is in my hand Child, my love for you will never end Though you may run away and hide I’ll be right by your side to pick you up, when you are all alone When your heart is in despair you will know I’m always there so child, come on home
When my hope has all gone, with my strength to go on and I don’t know what to do I call out on him, and he shows me again his love is always true And though I often stumble life’s trials may bring me low I know he’ll always have for me a place that I can go Written By: Daniel A. Brown III January 28, 1987
One day I heard Satan whisper God never hears you pray He’ll never hear or understand a single word you say Then I heard God’s gentle voice saying child never fear And as he turned to Satan these words I heard so clear All rights reserved this child is mine Nothing can take him when his hearts in tune with mine All rights reserved for me alone And I’m watching over him till the day he makes it home Now as I heard God’s words as he spoke them to Satan A heavenly peace had settled there where fear had just been And I recall I’ll never leave you I’ll be with you till the end And I know that he is keeping me he’s near and he’s my friend Written By: Daniel A. Brown III January 29, 1986 This song was written because someone I trusted with my life was trying to get me to trust them again, even though they had given me reason not to. Our conversation got pretty intense, and they said to me “All Rights Are Reserved For You”. Then they really hurt me. But through it God let me know that he had stamped, sealed, and reserved me unto himself. Glory!
Friend I know sometimes it’s hard to find any kind of peace of mind The road is dark, the way is rough at times you feel like giving up Although you may not understand we’re still in the palm of his hand So don’t give up, we’re at the end and people need Jesus
People need Jesus They need to know God loves them He will understand their hurt When there seems no way, he’ll make it work People need Jesus They need to know he’s always there With every burden that we bear People need Jesus
People can be so blind through all their searching never find The peace their heart is seeking for and yet they keep on reaching more They have music and movies they have race-cars and baseball And no fulfillment is found at all for people need Jesus Written By: Daniel A. Brown III March 12, 1987
So you’ve slipped and stumbled you’ve fallen once again And this is not the first time Satan tricked you into sin But the Holy Spirit’s wooing he whispers “peace be still” If you’ll listen as he whispers you will hear I love you still Listen as he whispers he’s speaking to you now Though his voice is soft, it’s clear to hear I love you still somehow And though you’ve slipped and stumbled Don’t lay there in the mud Listen as he whispers for he whispers “child your loved” Sometimes we get discouraged it seems the roads to rough That hill up ahead Lord it’s a big one to climb it’s just to tough But with the Lord’s hand guiding his spirit leads the way If we’ll listen as he whispers we’re safe in his arms to stay
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III March 26, 1987 I was presently going through the one most devastating times in my life. Even though I had done nothing wrong, I felt I had totally failed God. I was literally coming apart at the seams. My church, family, friends and even God, had seemingly forsaken me. Then the Lord reminded me of the prophet who looked for God in the wind & rain (the commotion), but found him in the quiet, with a still small voice. And he let me know to get away and listen.
Some folks worry about the strangest things God’s still in control When a trial comes they find it hard to sing that God’s still in control If they’d learn to lay it at the cross they’d know that all is not lost And find that peace that can’t be bought because God’s still in control
God’s still in control He still makes the flowers grow He wants you and I to know Don’t gotta worry about tomorrow And when that trial comes your way Just stand your ground, look Satan in the face Raise your hands to the Lord and say My God’s still in control
Although the night is closing in God’s still in control It seems I’ve lost my last friend but God’s still in control My burdens start to get me down I just look up and I lose my frown Because I know that soon I’m gonna leave the ground My God’s still in control Written By: Daniel A. Brown III March 26, 1987 Once you get away and seek God, and you hear that still small voice, you realize that no matter what, God has it all under control. And what a peace there is in simply knowing “God’s Still In Control”.
I hear people say that God is love but they don’t know his love or grace They say that God is up above but they live as a disgrace If he’s is up above, he’s here below he knows who does, and who doesn’t know But the only way this world will know is for us to let love show
This world could use a little love more smiles instead of frowns A more caring sharing attitude more ups instead of downs We could be more gentle with our words say things that help, instead of hurt Show people Jesus here on earth and prove God’s love is real
When Jesus walked upon this earth he spoke of things to come He told of war and disaster and there surely will be some But he also left some promises if we would live just as he did He would build a mansion home for us where we would forever live Written By: Daniel A. Brown III April 9, 1987
Now Jesus came he bore our pain He lived and died and rose again He died for you and all who sin This life brand new is Jesus plan
I know a man who has a plan For sin sick souls to live again He bore the sin and all the pain He has a plan come live again
Listen my friend if you wish to win This gift of life which has no end This gift so true is yours to gain Just kneel and pray in Jesus name
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III April 17, 1987 I’d Rather Walk Down The Old-Time way 70
Well a man told me the other day boy your just to old fashioned That old time way in the old time day was good so I’d imagine But hey now it’s the 80’s man and a new day has dawned
I turned to him, and said my friend Sir I’m afraid your wrong Well this old time way we’re talking about is a straight way yes I know A holiness path that few go down so told us in the Bible But there are only two paths, for a man to travel down One way leads straight to the grave and the other to a crown
I’d rather walk down the old time way and save my weary soul Than to live out the lusts of this modern day reaping the fruit, as I go For the way of a transgressor is hard to walk my friend The old time way’s far better now and it gets better in the end
Well he looked at me with a little frown and said I don’t quite understand I never hurt anyone I’m not really a bad man Sir remember Jesus said either for me or against and no matter how hard you may try you can’t ride on the fence Written By: Daniel A. Brown III May 8, 1987
Jesus is the one, when all the world is dark and grief somehow it’s way to you has found You look ahead at what’s to come, and when all hope is gone he’ll make a way where there seems to be none For he is the one who walks by night, he always makes the pathway bright he turns the darkest hour into daylight
And I know Jesus he is my real friend He’s the one who makes me see I’m not what I used to be He has remade me made me and shaped me Made me brand new again he is my real friend
The storm is so rough and there is no place to hide It’s cold and it seems it’s always night I know he has the answer he’s right there every hour Speaking peace and victory giving us the power To overcome, to overcome
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III April 1987
It’s such a simple message told time and time again Jesus is the only name to gain victory over sin And we’ve heard since so very small we have power through the lamb So why not when we start to fall just claim that name again
Remember Jesus he gives strength to stand again Remember Jesus he’ll give you power so you can win You can quench the fiery darts that Satan throws your way So when the tempter comes, to pull you down Remember Jesus
Now the answer may seem simple and there is no catchy phrase He is the same forever for now and for always The demons fear and tremble at the mere mention of that name So the answer is forever and always the same Written By: Daniel A. Brown III May 6, 1987
Well when Jesus went away he said I’m coming back someday And it won’t be very long until we all shall sail away Very soon that time shall come when we all shall be as one When our work on earth is done we’re going home
I’m taking the next flight out to Glory Like an eagle I will fly but without wings up through the sky I shall see the face of my king so holy When that trumpet sounds for me I’m gonna’ rise
It’s been near 2,000 years since Jesus has been here Signs of times on every side wars and earthquakes, famine high He said when these things shall come look up it won’t be long A new day soon shall dawn so come on along

In the blessed book divine an assurance we can find That we have the strength within us, for today And when you read that holy book you can see how faith can look Right beyond all the problems along the way
Don’t give up, just lay it down you don’t have to wear a frown Just give it all to Jesus, don’t delay don’t let your burden get you down At Jesus feet help can be found he is such a present help he’ll make a way
Now old Satan your faith may try he may put tears into your eyes And your heart may sink so deep inside your soul But don’t you listen to his lies just look strait in Jesus eyes And through each trial you face your faith will grow
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III May 16, 1987 I must confess this song was written more by faith than by feeling. Because actually, I did have tears in my eyes. My life had collapsed. I made a commitment for life, and the other person couldn’t keep it a month. But in my despair I confessed a good profession, encouraged myself, and sang a new song. (The fastest way to your encouragement, is encourage another). Please Tell Me Jesus Loves Me 75
I’ve been walking down this highway seeking worldly wealth and fame But I’ve not found true satisfaction and all of my seaking has been in vain
Please tell me Jesus loves me I’m tired of walking all alone Please tell me Jesus loves me I just cannot make it on my own
I have tried all this old world’s pleasures the wine, the women, and their songs But every one has left me longing for peace, and desire to carry on Written By: Daniel A. Brown III May 19, 1987 I had a friend who was a very close to me. He and I had played together in gospel groups for some time. But his father got offended with they’re pastor (over money), and quit their church. Consequently my friend wasn’t able to play in our Christian band. We grew apart, and a young man that had been in church nearly every day and night for years, was now being influenced by a new crowd. He called me up 6 months later, on Christmas Eve, and asked me to meet him a Denny’s. He said “Al, I’m drunk, I’m high, and I’m sacred”. I agreed to meet him, and for nearly 2 hours my friend sat across the table from me and cried, telling me all about his sad experiences. Somewhere in the course of his story he stopped and asked me a question, bold and straight, he asked, “Do you think Jesus still loves me?”. I tried to assure him Jesus did still love him, but I don’t think I ever convinced him, to the place he could forgive himself. I went home that night, and immediately wrote down the things my friend had told me. The night was far spent, but I couldn’t rest, until I had set it to music, and sang it through several times. I believe with all my heart, there are a lot of people today, crying out, “Please Tell Me Jesus Love Me”. Praise God … He Loves Me So 76
Now some may say praise comes in time but through the trials just not the time To praise and glorify the lamb the living God of Abraham But you’re in despair and don’t know what to do just lift your head up and he’ll lift you Don’t give up, just praise his name for he’s always the same
Praise God from whom all blessings flow Praise God I want the whole wide world to know As I walk he’s leading me every hour he’s keeping me Praise God… he loves me so
Step by step one day at a time I’m pressing on that upward climb As I walk and hold his hand I know he’ll make me stand And though it’s dark and friends are few I know he knows just what to do As long as I just follow him he will do it again
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III May 29, 1987 To live anointed To let my light shine For blind eyes To see again With all my heart My soul and spirit To be anointed And free from sin
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III May 22, 1987 Written while riding to South Dakota with my friend Mark Upchurch and his wife. After I finished writing it, we sang it all the way to the airforce base in South Dakota. Mark was the base player for the singing group “Anointed” which I was playing piano for at the time. I was going through an aufil lot at this time, my life had fallen apart. I was going through divorce procedings, and little did I know, that on this very same night, while I was in South Dakota, someone would break into the church at home, steal my equipment and some church equipment and the pastor would blame me for it. I was accused of stealing the equipment, pawning it, takeing the money and running away to South Dakota. Needless to say, when I returned home, and found the police, highway patrol, and everyone else was looking for me, “TO LIVE ANOINTED” was exactly the cry of my heart, and this chorus ministered to me alot! Gotta’ Break Down Them Walls 78
There are people everywhere, who don’t realize That they are being bound, by all of Satan’s lies They see defeat, and they feel the pain But they don’t know of the power, through Jesus name So we have been commissioned, by the Lords command To spread the gospel, to a dying land We must tell the people, stand upon Gods word And with the gospel they’ve heard, break down them walls
Gotta’ break down them walls gotta’ set the spirit free Gotta’ tell the world about what Jesus did for me Gotta’ stand and proclaim from sea to shining sea So the whole world will be break-in’ down them walls
Now in the Bible, we are often told We are in a battle, and we need to be bold For carnal warfare, and dead weight of sin Will only lead, to defeat again But in the battle plans, we find this strategy To claim the word, and stand in victory And when your standing there, so pure and clean Then old Satan will flee, you broke down his walls
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III June 9, 1987 Bought With A Price To Glorify Christ 79
Well I once was so burdened my life stained with sin My heart had no hope nor my soul peace within Then I heard Jesus love could set my soul free And praise God he saved me the very moment I believed
I’ve been washed in his love redeemed by his blood I’ve been saved from an evil way of life I’ve been changed, I’ve been remade a new man am I I’ve been bought with a price to glorify Christ
Now my heart is so happy I sing as I go And this song that I sing makes the love in my heart show For I’m singing a new song that I learned just today And the song that I sing is he took my sins away
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III July 2, 1987 I’ll Keep Holding On To Jesus 80
There’s a hand that’s always leading me through the eyes of faith I see His hand out-stretched and reaching low as through the valley I must go And though the sky is dark, rain is falling down in the peace he gives, my heart has found As I’m holding on to Jesus he lifts me up to higher ground
I’ll keep holding on to Jesus holding on to Jesus The storms of life will never cover me And as I’m holding on to Jesus he’s making every part of me A little more like his love and a little less like me
In the book of Revelation we find blessed consolation If we hold on to his hand he’ll be with us to the end If we’ll do what thus says the Lord we will earn a great reward So I’m holding on to Jesus holding to his nail-scarred hand Written By: Daniel A. Brown III July 6, 1987
Many years ago, upon a cruel cross a man so innocent and clean Gave his life a willing sacrifice to set free all who believe When he said, “It Is Finished” and the blood and water flowed He was saying child your mine now for my blood redeems your soul
He called my name when he was on the cross the day he bore my pain He called my name gave me liberty and now my soul is changed He washed me clean and gave me victory over sin and all it’s shame He gave me all I need for all eternity the day he called my name
I was lost and wondering in the night to where I did not know I never knew what having peace was till Jesus love to my heart flowed But when his love light started shining down upon my life of pain From sin he set me free, the same I’ll never be since that day he called my name
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III July 6, 1987 It’s only natural For me to sing And to give praise To Christ the King For me to get up and shout Jump all about Raise up my hands And show I’m sold out It’s only natural Since I was born that way Written By: Daniel A. Brown III June 1987 Setting here with my old guitar, strumming these six strings makes me want to go home again But there’s no home for a lonely, lonely stranger without purpose just looking for a friend to be a friend Because home’s only home, when there is love for the sharing there’s no love for a lonely traveling man I can’t go home to be alone, with four walls around me so I sit and sing my lonely song again, but wait…
I wonder (I know) what Jesus would say if he could see me (them) He would say cheer up my child your not alone Lift up your head and see the glory that’s around you And your heart will find a peace you’ve never known
Well the man down on the corner, peddling newspapers says there’s hurting, broken lives across the land Homes that’s broken, hearts that’s crying lives that even time cannot mend But there’s a man that I heard about, years ago in Sunday School who gives new life to weary hearts again And he gave his life a sacrifice, on a rugged dogwood tree and he bids all who will to come and let him in Written By: Daniel A. Brown III July 1987 I Will Wait For Him While Walking By His Side 84
I don’t know just where I’m going between now and that bright day I don’t know what clouds may darken the light from my paths way But I know some day I’m going to the sky I’m gonna’ sail So for now until I get there I shall trust and do his will
And I will wait until the sun falls from the sky Until all the mountains crumble and rivers all run dry I will look for him daily to split the eastern sky I will wait for him while walking by his side
Many trials and disappointments may come my way I know But still I’ll live for him daily and praise his name as on I go For I know some day he’s coming on the clouds all dressed in white With his holy band of angels for me to take that Heaven bound flight
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III July 25, 1987
I remember years ago, when I was lost I never had peace within Satan always told me lies, and I’d believe them everyone time and again He would say go on and try it, you don’t like it, you don’t buy it there’s no use to fight, it ain’t really no big sin I spent my life a fallin’, till I found out Jesus love could make me win So I went down to the altar and I said Lord I need some help My life is one big shamble and I just cannot handle it myself And he told me turn it over so I laid it on the altar and the weight upon my shoulder went away with all my sin Now I’m singing so much louder but the song that I’m singing has no end Well I had it but I lost it praise God I didn’t want it anyway All the sin that had me down only made me wear a frown every day Satan told me have some fun and I even tried to run but Jesus love was so much stronger now it’s in my heart to stay Well I had it but I lost it praise God I didn’t want it anyway Written By; Daniel A. Brown III (I WANT TO BE) JUST LIKE YOU 86 PRECIOUS JESUS LOVING FATHER DEAREST SPIRIT OH SO TRUE MAY YOUR PRESENCE DWELL AMONG US ‘TILL IS MAKES US JUST LIKE YOU I WANT TO JUST LIKE YOU I WANT TO BE JUST LIKE YOU WHEN I WAKE UP IN THE MORNING TO THE MIDDLE OF THE AFTERNOON I WANT TO BE JUST LIKE YOU I WANT TO BE JUST LIKE YOU MAY YOUR PRESENCE DWELL AMONG US ‘TILL IT MAKES US, JUST LIKE YOU
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III September 3, 1987 Revised April 2, 1996 I wrote the first half to this song at Grace A\G, when I was the youth pastor there. Then 9 years later in a revival in Morgantown KY he gave me the second half.
Are you ready, for the Lord to come does your heart, sing a victory song In your spirit, are you heading home when Jesus comes to get his children, will your whereabouts be known Can you see, the signs on every hand war and strife, famine in the land Have you listened, and obeyed God’s command, are you ready for the Lord to come
Now a man, his name was Jesus Christ was on a cross, for your sins crucified And through the blood, he shed when he died he’s made a way of preparation, for lost sheep to come home And although, it’s been 2,000 years it is true, the time of Christ is near And soon the saints, will rise up through the air are you ready for the Lord to come
Now the Devil, is like a roaring lion full of evil, with temptation in mind And his nature, is to make people blind so they cannot see the wonders, that King Jesus has done But if we all, proclaim the written word and we walk, in light of what we’ve heard Then Jesus spirit, will work a miracle and get us ready, for the Lord to come
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III August 8, 1987 Oh Lord you are to me What other men can never be You are the light in which I see Deep into my heart Oh Lord you are my one desire A very strong and mighty tower My shelter from the wind and fire Yes, my Lord you are Written By: Daniel A. Brown III August 1987
When I need a hand to hold I know that he is with me I need a shelter from the cold I know that he is there Although my friends may turn away he still will be here for me Even through my darkest day I know that Jesus loves me Bridge I know he will stay with me
He has promised he would never leave When I get low I know he’ll carry me And give me grace to face another day
While looking back where I came from I know that he was with me For I can see the valleys low I know, that he has brought me through So when you’ve got a big big problem don’t let your heart quit singing Just look to him and you will know he will do the same for you, (he’ll bring you through)
Written By: Daniel A. brown III October 3, 1987 Step-in’ In The Steps Of Jesus 90
Well there are many trials and temptations in this life And when you start to walk by faith old Satan’s gonna’ fight But friend listen to the father and as you seek the Lord You will find great power in standing on his word
Step-in in the steps of Jesus walking down life’s highway I’m living for him daily saying what he’d have me to say Showing love unto my brother lending a hand and helping him pray I’m step-in’ in the steps of Jesus learning to walk by faith Well faith is not believing but believe, oh yes you must Faith you have by giving unto God all of your trust In every situation never worry never fret Give it over to the father and friend you ain’t seen nothing yet Written By: Daniel A. Brown III October 3, 1987
You’ve been betrayed, by your closest friend your hurt, and don’t know where to turn Every road you take is a dead end you’d think someday you’d learn Your friends all warned you, that you’d get burned and deep inside you knew But you refused to believe or hear their plea now theirs only one thing left to do
Look to Jesus he’s always there for you He can mend your broken heart like no one else can do Don’t give up, though the burdens heavy and your heart is in despair Lay it down upon the altar he’ll meet your need, just kneel in prayer
The broken heart that I once had was mended at the cross He took away my fear and guilt kept my soul from being lost My friend if you don’t have the answer for what your going through Take it from this friend, that has a friend who knows exactly what to do
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III & Jim Gallagher May 9, 1987
We are called the over-comers we’re a righteous, holy number We will lift high the standard we will raise higher the banner We’ve been called out from among them to be a chosen generation A mighty army marching to battle and we are conquering the forces of evil
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III January 1987
Now when a man is full of sin with pain and hurt inside He can search the whole world over and find no place to hide But when he walks down to an altar and Jesus meets him there He will find the peace he’s seeking and so much more there knelt in prayer
Only Jesus, Only Jesus only he can mend your broken shattered life Only Jesus, Only Jesus only he can set you free, and give you peace inside
To many hearts, to many times have seen to many fakes Lying and deceiving it is such a disgrace But if we’ll lay aside our worldly minds and show men Jesus cares Then they will know, for his love will show there is power in our prayer (&)
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III September 6, 1987
You say you know someone, who says they know someone who knows someone, who gets things done But you’ll get lost in the tale that’s run then find out they were wrong But I know a man, and that same man knows me and only by his name can we Find the peace that this world needs so we must start to sing
I know a man who had a plan for me to set my feeble spirit free And he will save all who’ll believe if only they can see That he’s the man who has a plan for them and he will cleanse from all their sin And make them pure and whole again I know a man who can
Now you may talk, and talk, and talk for hours about some man who has some power But in his heart he’s just a coward if he doesn’t know the King For when some trials, and temptations come and he can’t seem to get things done Then you will see that you were wrong to judge men by what they seem
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III September 6, 1987 Don’t forget to thank him Tell him your great-full for his mercy For everything he’s given Give him praise, for he is worthy And when we start to praise He will inhabit in all ways So we must stand and sing, in victory for he alone is worthy
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III September 6, 1987
Tell me who can heal the leper Tell me who can calm the sea Tell me who can mend a broken heart and can set the captive free Tell me who can make a crimson stream that flows to you and me with it make us pure and holy Tell me who it’s God indeed Written By: Daniel A. Brown III September 1987 Now some folks, don’t understand why I love Jesus And they just can’t see the peace I feel in his love Though they see I’m not the same since I’ve learned to speak his name They refuse his love to claim and throw away what he’s done But I’ve got more than this world, will ever know I’ve got more than this smile, will ever show I’ve got peace down deep inside and my mind is satisfied Since I’ve found this place to hide in Christ my Lord
Now sometimes the road down here gets oh so rough And at times, it would be easy to give up But then I STOP, and think again just where I am and where I could have been Since my soul is free from sin through Jesus love Written By: Daniel A. Brown III September 8, 1987 My brother Damon and I had gone on a trip to central Missouri. I had to preach a revival, and he went along. It was a very special time, because we had never had very much time to spend together. We went to a rather poor church, and they didn’t do much of anything for us. We slept in my van on the seats in the back (it was very cold). We ate cold canned food, and washed up in the rest room of the church. But at night I would get out my guitar and we would sing, one night as I was singing, out came “I’ve Got More”.
Jehovah, oh Lord my God I come to you, to bring me through this place in time My trials small, to you not much at all but still you care, and you are there for all to find
And you say come to me I’ll meet your every need And when your low and in despair I’ll still be there And I’ll reach down my loving hand and pull you out, of your sinking sand My child, just call on me and I’ll be there
Now when we try God’s will to find And try to do, what he’d have us do to win the fight Then he will help for our hurt is felt And when Satan rages, against the rock of ages he has no might
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III Friday, October 16,1987 We find amid the conflicts there is always one more trial And sometimes we must walk by faith for many many miles But when your heart is open and the spirit fills your soul You’ll be so glad that he came in when you opened up your window The window must be open for the wind to come in The breeze can’t blow through a closed door and cool the house within The spirit wants to thrill you make you feel brand new again But the window must be open for the wind to come in When the tension and the strains of this old life begin to rise And you feel within your heart you want to run away and hide Just get your eyes on Jesus and keep looking straight ahead Then your window will be open and his spirit can come in So many times in this old life we have oh so many cares And every step we take brings another load to bear But when your looking at the mover then the mountains not so big So just raise the window of your mind and get your eyes on him Written By: Daniel A. Brown III Friday October 16, 1987 Now as Gods children long ago we’re given blessings manifold Manna sent down from above striate from Jesus full of love But when we waste the blessings sent and all our time on self is spent We must then kneel and repent we’re getting worms in the manna
We’re getting worms in the manna to much breads a being wasted To many people are not giving of the oil they have tasted While we say we love the lord we fail to share his precious word Though that is what the word is for we’re getting worms in the manna
Well hypocritical is in men want to play around with sin Say just a little now and then why can’t we see the mess we’re getting in We claim the power of the word and then ignore the word we’ve heard We write it off as to absurd we’re getting worms in the manna
So many people out in sin don’t know God has a plan for them And all the pain they have within they hide from family and friend While we enjoy the things God’s done we’ve set our minds on having fun And these men die without God’s Son we’ve got worms in the manna Written By: Daniel A. Brown III October 3, 1987 The road behinds been rouged and my way has been so long With mountains in the way his word has gently led me on And I’ve been strong, with him along And as I sit here dreaming of some better day ahead The blessing that he gives to me may be a trial instead but this I know his love will go
I’m living under the shadow of a mighty God I’m resting in the fullness of his peace that I’ve got His love has given more for the battle is won I’m living under the shadow of the almighty God
Today I stand here looking back and wonder what lies ahead will tomorrow bring me sunshine or will there be more tears to shed Lord I don’t know, so to you I’m gonna go When I’m alone on some dark highway a thousand miles from home I look up and I see that moon you made above me and I know I’m really not alone and then I’m strong I know you are along Written By: Daniel A. Brown III October 8, 1987
Jesus I’ve Fallen Again and I feel the weight of all my sin My heart just seems to cry and weep big tears from down inside In my eyes you see the pain Lord I feel so ashamed As I bow on my face again and to you I humbly cry
Lord please touch me let me feel the peace I had before My soul is so hungry I need you more and more Lord please fill me fill my heart, my soul, and mind Though the weakest of men I seem to be oh Lord, make me thine
At times this flesh is so weak and as I climb the mountains get so steep Temptation starts to rise and flesh is written in my eyes I hear him whisper child don’t be weak I see a tear start rolling down his cheek That’s when I fall down upon my knees and again to him I cry Written By: Daniel A. Brown III November 3, 1987 (12:30 a.m.)
I came home late from running all night, lay down in my bed and looked up. Above my bed hung a lighted picture of Jesus. I always looked at it when I was going to sleep, but as I stared at the picture, I saw what looked like tears running down Jesus’ cheek. Convicted, I knelt down on my knees and repented, right then. When I finished, I wrote my prayer down, and “Lord Please Touch Me” was born, of a prayer.
I don’t know the reason, why he loved me so I don’t know why he suffered and died I don’t know why he left his home above just to give one like me real peace inside But I know for I feel, and I know it’s real I now stand and rejoice in the hope which I feel And although I don’t know why to a cross he did go I know, that I have his love inside
He loved me when nobody cared for me He loved me when I was alone He loved me in spite of the things I had done he said child, won’t you please, come on home Then he reached down his hand, and he whispered low He said child, let my love make you whole And I don’t know why, no reason I find but he loves me, and that’s all I need to know
I don’t ask questions, or say Lord why for now I don’t need to really know I only have to trust him, when he whispers low and say Lord, let your love, touch my soul Lord, let your love, oar my heart start to flow let the peace, only you, can give, take hold And lord, let me live, neath the shadow of your wing that you, might show your love to all
Written By; Daniel A. Brown III November 1-8, 1987 Emmanuel my Lord and my King oh Lord my God, you made everything you are so mighty You make my heart to sing, and leap with joy you are my Lord my God and King
I love you Lord, I love you Lord I love you Lord, you have made my heart be glad Lord Jesus Christ, supreme sacrifice you are my friend, a friend to the end for me your fighting Through day and through the night you will defend for I’m trusting in the power of your hand
I love you Lord, I love you Lord I love you Lord, you have made my pathway bright
Through the night I will sing I will sing and praise your name To the world I will proclaim all the love that you have given me Praise of your spirit is my song I will sing it all day long As I bow before your throne Lord you know you are my everything
Lord in my heart, just let your love be known and in my soul, your peace start to flow oh Lord I love you Take my heart, my body, soul, and mind I give to you my life I shall be thine Written By: Daniel A. Brown III November 21,1987 Last verse March 5, 1988
Well say you go down to the mall for some appliance big or small What’s the first thing you must do see the guarantee they give to you Don’t you think it would be the same when you call on Jesus name Just believe and you’ll receive satisfaction guaranteed
God gives joy instead of pain he gives peace instead of shame Every time his name you call he’ll lift you up where you can’t fall And where those clouds have been all day the Son will shine there in their place Yes he will meet your every need with satisfaction guaranteed
As God’s children we’re so blessed with love and joy and happiness So many blessings we receive because on Jesus we believe Just look around at what God’s done all the victories we have won I am sure that you can see there is satisfaction guaranteed
(Tag)Where there is darkness, he’ll make light where there is a mess he’ll make it right To him it’s all about the same nothings to hard for him to change For when your weak, he’ll make you strong he’ll but you back where you belong I’m sure he’ll do just what you need with satisfaction guaranteed Written By: Daniel A. Brown III January 1988 I Can’t Stand To See You Fall 106
In this world there are a lot of painted pictures so beautiful to see with naked eye But the picture Satan’s painting for you brother only shows distorted fallacies and lies But if you understand he is trying to destroy you and you spend time in God’s word to make you strong Then Satan has no power he’s defenseless for the word has given grace to overcome
Brother please don’t listen to what Satan says to you He may be mighty subtle but his words are never true Just hold on tight to Jesus hand as on his name you call For Brother, I can’t stand to see you fall
As you walk this road of many trials remember always looking straight ahead The enemy your fighting in this battle will do anything he can to see you dead There is just one way to overcome temptation stand upon the blood and testify And although he is lying and deceiving the word reveals the truth of Satan’s lies

Jesus walked upon this earth was rejected of men His life and all the work he did to free mans soul from sin And I may never know why to an old rugged cross he would go I will never be worthy of one drop of blood Jesus shed for me
I’ll never be worthy but I’ll ever be free With the precious blood that Jesus shed I’ll shout victory I’ll never be worthy I’ll not be worth the pain But he has shown his love for me so to him I will cling
Now I walk on this earth and I live for him Although the waves may beat with force I’m sheltered safely within I will walk each day for Jesus I will give him all my life For he first showed his love for me when on that cruel cross he died
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III March 22-27, 1988 My Brother Needs A Shoulder 109
Like a tree in the wind Lord let me learn to bend So I might learn to understand my brothers weakness With the love you’ve given me let me show him faithfully So his heart can clearly see your peace you freely give
Oh Lord don’t let my heart become to hardened Where I cannot see my brother in despair Keep my soul from evil, keep my spirit humble When my brother needs a shoulder, put mine there
Now the written word declares each others burdens we should bear For this body that we share has many members While one is big and one is small the Lord has made us one and all And lovingly each one did call his love to minister
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III March 11, 1988 He Is The Only Man, Worth Living For 110
Many men, ask why I’m living why I sacrifice my time They wonder why I’m giving all I have to Jesus Christ They just don’t understand, They never felt his hand like I did when he saved my soul So I just tell them He is the only man, worth living for
He is the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords creator of all things He is the sacrificed provision for redemption of all man He is my best friend, my real companion my God and so much more So why I live for him He is the only man, worth living for
Now sometimes, I get discouraged when things don’t go my way And I wonder why the dark clouds seem to hide all the light of day And then I see him, out reaching his hand and I’m reminded once more Just why I live for him He is the only man, worth living for

I feel the presence of the Lord His spirit now with us comes flowing down to us such mercy and love he affords I feel the brush and the presence of angels The peace he has given now makes life worth living each day I’m loving him more
Jesus, Jesus That name means more to me, than diamonds and gold I whisper that name all heaven proclaims his glory I love him, I want him I need him, he’s with me Such mercy and love he has shown
The love he has given me now has made my mind free The mercy he’s showing to others now flowing to them like it first flowed to me He’s with me each hour, he’s giving me power to conquer the powers of sin His grace and his mercy though I so unworthy keeps flowing again and again

I don’t know why why he would die Why he would live to be crucified But I know he loves and I know he lives I know he has and I know he gives
He took all the pieces all the broken into He took all the hard times and made them brand new He took all the broken dreams and made my new start And I know he loves me for he gave me his heart
Now some men deny ever he died Went to the cross and gave us his life But inside they know for with their eyes they behold The change he has made in me oh such mercy he’s shown

My eyes have never seen the place prepared for me Such beauty no mortal could contain But though my eyes may not behold I can know for I am told I can read it in the pages of God’s word
In the pages of God’s word I find a sweet release In those pages I can find a glorious peace And when my race on earth is run and I see my mansion home I’ll know I’ve made it through the pages of God’s word
Now men down here build mansions fare of precious jewels oh so rare Oh the beauty of their homes glitter as gold But when I see him on that day all earth’s memories will fade away And I’ll thank God I’ve made it through the pages of his word
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III September 8, 1988 I have all my life forsaken the ways that lead me wrong Though many times mistaken and led so far from home I love him with a love so free and I know he loves me For the blood that Jesus shed now covers me
His love he gave on the cross he hanged In the grave he laid on the third day was raised But still one gift means more to me this precious blood that stained the tree Oh his blood he gave so free now covers me
I can see him on Galgotha hanged between two thieves His blood flowing down in the thirsty ground to seep His life he gave to set men free such love to be received And you can have this grace through his blood that covers me
(Tag) It covers me It covers me The precious blood that Jesus shed now covers me I love the gift of life he gave I love the ones he came to save But I remain amazed at his blood that covers me Written By: Daniel A. Brown III July 27, 1988
He knows every tear, that I cry he sees every fear, I have inside He feels my need, and he whispers peace and for me he makes a hiding place He loves me with a love so true he does what no other power can do Though he knows me, he still loves me and he wants to be to me my everything, all that I need
Jesus, my everything Jesus, your more to me than words can explain Oh just take me, Lord and make me what you want me to be In your will I can make it let my desires be set free
With you Lord, I’m never alone you hold me in your hand, and make me strong You walk with me, oh so close by my side you guide every step, to make it right And although I may fall, many times to the ground you pick me up, and mend my wounds with love profound And though some may think I’m crazy I can see what you’ve made in me is much more than I’ve ever been before

It’s The cutting edge it’s the word of God It’s the gospel of peace with which my feet are shod I will carry the sword of the spirit strong And with it break down all of the evil walls
We’re gonna march to victory with Jesus Christ Never fear death for He’s given us life With the shield of faith and our helmet too There’s nothing that our Lords army can’t do
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III Late Summer 1988 Cutting Edge was the name of my youth group, when I was the youth pastor at Grace Assembly of God in Florissant MO. I wrote this chorus so we could have our own theme song. Jesus Is What Christmas Means To Me 117
Lights around the window presents neath the tree Snow outside is falling It’s Christmas, in the city I see my friends smile and pass me merrily Christmas, oh Christmas such a blessed time to be
Christmas, oh Christmas what a lovely time it is Christmas, oh Christmas I love the joy it gives We celebrate so many ways for all the world to see But Jesus is what Christmas means to me
Shepherds on a hillside a visit by and angel band Glory in the highest God’s own son has come to man From the morning in the manger to the cross upon the hill Till he was raised up on the third day salvation’s plan to fulfill (Tag.) All the celebration, gifts, and holly don’t mean a thing you see For Jesus is what Christmas means to me Written By: Daniel A. Brown III September 16, 1988 While working at Grace A/G I wrote a Christmas Play. I Started looking for a Christmas song that told the birth death and resurrection of Jesus, not just the baby in the manger, but there were none. So I wrote one.
So many times in the Bible we find “I’ll never leave you” So many times he has told us “I’ll be there” When I find all this written in those pages I realize what he is saying is “I’m forever yours”
Forever yours forever yours He said he’d always be what we need, and then He’s forever yours forever yours He’s said he’ll never leave and he’d be, forever yours
Now there are times I feel alone oh, but I know It’s in that time that seems so lonesome that I can grow He never leaves, nor is he far away it just might be, I need to kneel and pray and then he shows himself to me and I can hear him gently say Written By: Daniel A. Brown III February 1989 I remember clearly the day I wrote “Forever Yours”, I was setting at the Chickering 9 foot grand piano on the platform of Grace A\G, and was asking God if anyone was faithful and kept their word or promises any more. Then I realized if I’m the bride, and he the groom the Bible is a love letter, and his was the one promise I could believe.
Lord I don’t know what tomorrow holds but you do I don’t know if my tears will flow but you do There may be starry skies and there may be some rain filled nights But Lord I know with you by my side you’ll meet my every need
And there’ll be peace in the time of storm Peace I’m safe from harm Peace when Jesus is with me with me There’ll be peace although dark the night Peace though wounded in the fight Peace I know the guiding light yes, Jesus is with me
Men may let me down again but you know I may lose my dearest friend but you know And it won’t take you by surprise for your already there, and you’ve won the fight So Jesus Guide me buy your light and let me never leave Written By; Daniel A. Brown III March 24, 1989
Well I am so feeble and my way is so long I may struggle with evil as I journey along And I may not know just where I’ll be tomorrow But as long as I follow he’ll lead me home
He’s leading me homeward and I’m looking forward To that heavenly mansion that I’ll have over there And with all the others all our loved ones gone over These trials will be no more when he leads me up there
Now you may have trouble and heartaches by the double And in place of the victory you’ve been feeling down But friend just remember when your faced with the tempter If we’ll share in the struggle one day he’ll share the crown
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III June 20, 1988 I Am Climbing Up The Mountain 121
I’d been going through the valley the dark and lonesome valley I’d been caught in Looking for some miracle to take me heaven bound And as I looked on up that narrow way the mountains rocky rough terrain I said please Lord But he just left the mountain there took my hand, and said my child come along
So I’ll keep moving up the mountain Gods holy mountain I am climbing I’m tired of the lonely life down on the valley floor And as I move on up the mountain no he just won’t move this mountain so I’ll keep climbing Climbing up this mountain side to heavens table land
Now friend if you see a mountain go ahead, pray God move this mountain but then keep climbing For our God specializes in mountain moving ways But in this old life’s journey the way can get so rocky where he leads you But don’t look down keep holding on to his nail-scarred hand and he will lead you home Written By: Daniel A. Brown III November 21, 1989 Satan lies about tomorrow Satan lies about today He’ll disguise his pain and sorrow just to bring them all our way But if your heart has but one longing that Heaven is your goal Then he can’t even touch you for our God is watching on
He’s the light in your darkness he’s the bright and morning star His love is shining down from glory oh no matter where you are In his majesty and splendor he’ll outshine all of Satan’s fears So don’t worry o’re deaths shadow for that just proves God’s light is near
Now there are times when your on the mountain yes and all the skies are blue Then all at once you fail and doubt him as sins dark cloud hangs over you But don’t you worry o’re the future or what tomorrow holds For that same God that calms the water is that same God that guards your soul Written By: Daniel A. Brown III February 4, 1990 Dean Heady, my pastor at the time, preached a message on the 23rd Psalm. Knowing Pastor Heady, who could quote whole books of the Bible from memory, I expected him to preach some hidden thing I had never heard of again. But as he started preaching, he showed us things we had never seen in the 23rd Psalm. He got down to “Though I walk through the shadow of death, I will fear no evil”, and he said, “The only thing the shadow of death proves is that the light is still shining, for you can’t have a shadow without a light. Well that struck home, and “He’s The Light” shortly followed.
Now the road turns as my mind goes down It seems so easy as my heart is spinning round But when it sinks down to the bottom and my little world is falling falling down all around I know all I am needing is a friend who can help me win again
Then it’s back with tomorrow and all of the sorrows come around And I wonder where the faith goes when the trials come and knock me to the ground Where is that determination and the hope of my salvation that in my meditations makes me win Then I know all I am needing is my one friend who can help me win again
So I just call on the master for he is the maker of the wind And I know when I call him although I may have fallen he picks me up back on my feet again And I know if I’m humble although I often stumble he’ll make me what I know I should have been Just as long as he’s leading he can make me win again
Written By; Daniel A. Brown III March 1990 I’m Gonna Wake Up Shouting 124 For so many years now we’ve walked through life and talked of heaven fair Looking forward to that day we’ll live and reign with him up there But one day this worlds gonna pass me by I won’t have to worry, no more I’ll cry I’m just waiting till I hear the cry for that meeting in the air.
I’m gonna wake up shouting when I get to the other side. I’m gonna wake up shouting with Jesus I’ll reside. I’m gonna sit down beside that river of life no more sorrow pain or strife I’m gonna praise the Lord till the day I die and then I’m gonna wake up shouting.
Now through this life we’re gonna have some trouble everyone must bear their cross But one of these days I’m gonna cross old Jordan and all that will be lost When I sit down beside Jesus I shake the hand of that nail-scarred man I’m gonna praise the Lord for his amazing mercy for without it I would have been lost.
Well I may go in the rapture I know it will be soon. But it really makes me no difference as long as my hearts in tune I may be working out in a cornfield I may be grinding at the mill I may be sound asleep in my bed but I know what I’m gonna do. Written By: Daniel A. Brown III January 1990
When I feel like life has let me down and there is not one friend that can be found Tho’ my life seems unfair every time I call He’s there And I know, I know, it’s real
I know, yes I know, it’s real I know, yes I know, for I can feel it When I walk through the pain the cold the wind and the rain I know, yes I know, it’s real
Every time I get down, He picks me up and He makes, me drink from his precious cup When all my hope is gone He gives me strength to carry on And I know, yes I know, He’s real.
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III May 1990 This song was written when Sherri and I had just met. I was setting beside her at the old piano in her mothers basement, and while playing around on the piano, I came up with this little tune, and the song just came naturally thereafter. Go Ahead And Let God Do It 126
Why don’t we see more wonders and prophesies unfold Deliverance and miracles as done by men of old The Spirit is so willing but the flesh is still so weak Don’t let the Devil hinder you for victory is sweet.
Go ahead and let God do it don’t fight it any more His spirit’s working mightily through every open door If you’ll only give into it what great work his love can do Go ahead and let God do it let him start his work in you
Did you ever doubt like Thomas or walk like the prodigal son Refuse to accept the promise or try it on your own Jesus stands here beckoning please come to me and know My word can work your miracle my love can make you whole.
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III March 1990 Now I have often wondered when I begin to doubt About the time I give up hope things seem to just work out And I know someone’s been praying someone touched the throne for me And although she’s gone, I know her prayers still bring me victory.
Grandmas gone But her prayers pray on Prayers of blessing and a shield for me She prayed that I’d be strong You could always find her on her knees Praying for my victory Now grandmas gone But her prayers pray on
Now you may feel disheartened you may be feeling down No matter where you look right now no strength or hope is found But there is someone somewhere who’s said a prayer for you And if you’ll keep believing God’s love will bring you through Written By: Daniel A. Brown III April 1990 I don’t remember where I was exactly, but I was watching T.B.N. one day, and Paul Crouch (show host) was talking about satellites and television signals. He said when they send out a signal to the satellite, the satellite only captures a very small fragment of the signal, and the remainder of that signal just keeps going and going into outer space. I thought about that for a minute, then I remembered my Grandma praying for me (I remember hearing her countless times). God bottles up out tears, and just because we leave this earth, in no way means, we are not going to receive the reward. We may be long gone, but whatever is done for Christ will last.
I was kind enough to hold the coats while Stephen was stoned In the valley of temptation I let no man walk alone I’ve granted the wish of many men even spared from poverty I’ll do almost anything to make men follow me
So tenderly, so patiently, I offered fruit to Eve Through my soft encouragement, both she and he did eat I have made the way for many men, to follow their desires Winning hearts and taking lives, with just a precious lie
One precious lie is all it takes to open ones heart door And once inside, without mistake they’ll take at least one more It’s so simple, if you overlook the sin the guilt and the shame But, friend, please listen close to that subtle host His lies are still the same
To David I brought a beautiful woman and I blessed them with a son Gave thirty pieces of shiny silver to a man named Judas simply for directions To Lot a wealthy green-land home in a city rich and bright So many men so, many times have loved my precious lies
(Tag)He says, it’ll be so fun, I’ll grant your every desire But his lies are still the same. Written By: Daniel A. Brown III May 1990 Written in the basement of Walter’s (Sherri’s Brother) business.
You may think I’m crazy to claim Christ as my king But he saved me, he changed me he set my spirit free And although I must wrestle with sin, doubt and despair Since I’ve anchored in Christ Jesus every burden he will bear.
This is a battle and I’m gonna win it I’ll conquer every trial through the power of the spirit With my sword in my hand on this solid rock I’ll stand In spite of hell, fear, or man I’m gonna win it.
Some folks don’t like the words I speak It kind of goes against their grain Since they went to church and said a prayer one time they think they’ve got it made But brother let me tell you Romans 6:16 again It’s not a matter did you start the fight What matters did you win
Now sometimes I get down and out and I feel like I wanna run Then through the doubt and fear, his voice rings clear I bought you, your my son Then he takes me in, and I confess my sin and he says child be strong Get your eyes of man, give me your hand and your will make it home Written By: Daniel A. Brown III Sunday October 20,1991 There are many many a man today walking along life’s narrow way Seeking for peace that won’t go away afraid to trust, and scared to pray While I live in victory each day finding ways he can do more for me My selfish mind is to blind to see I need a change of the heart
Lord I (we) need a change of the heart a change of the heart There must be a place, where his love can start I must be a light, that can shine in the dark When I am made weak, then he is made strong He brings me back, to the place I belong He’s making it light (right), where it’s been dark (wrong) for so long I need a change of the heart
We walk by faith not by sight they say yes our power comes through amazing grace We sing of his soon return someday but our neighbors cry, our children hate How can we say we are Christian men when God is love, yes he died for them We live our own lives and they die in their sin we need a change of the heart
He said that I’m snared by the words of my mouth The words of my mouth flow from out of my heart Lord somehow I need to make a new start I need a change of the heart Written By: Daniel A. Brown III
There’s a warfare, it’s a battle and we fight it in our mind But our weapons are not carnal there of a special kind Through faith in Christ our savior we pull old Satan down Don’t you know every little trial just leads to higher ground. (So)
Just don’t think about it For he’s working out his plan Just don’t think about it Your in the palm of his hand When you kneel to pray And you stand in faith Give it up Don’t hesitate The answers on the way So just don’t think about it
Well I’ve walked through many valleys at times I’ve lagged behind But he’s always made a way for me and I’ve conquered every time Though I hear old Satan whispering’ this time old boy your mine I plead the blood and testify say old man get thee behind. (Then I) Written By: Daniel A. Brown III January 27, 1993 10:30 p.m. Written in Fillmore MO. Sherri and I were trying desperately to hold our family, church, and marriage together. I felt the LORD told me to quit dwelling on the impossible, trust him and let him be God. Do what I could, then “Stand Therefore”.
Well he made the earth and water, put the clouds up in the sky He made the roaring lion, taught the eagle how to fly He made the moon and stars, spanned out the galaxy Then he humbled himself down, and gave his life for you and me
It’s not a big thing, he fed the little sparrow It’s not a big thing, he put meal in the widows barrel It’s not a big thing, he has walked upon the water And he’s given us the promise he’d give power to you and me It’s not a big thing, no matter what the problem It’s not a big thing, my God can always solve them It’s not a big thing, for he is ever interceding And if you’ll just believe he’ll meet your need, and you will see It’s not a big thing
Well I was once a wondering, in a life of sin and care I had no one for comfort, had no friend my load to share Then I met this master, and he told me just believe I stood upon his promise, now I live eternally
Now I walk in total freedom, Jesus is my closest friend My life has found new meaning, and my soul has peace with in He has brought me out of bondage, and I know one thing thing is true Just as he did all this for me, he’ll do the same for you
Now He made the lame to walk, and made the dumb again to speak Healed every kind of sickness, commanded demons they must flee Well his power is still working, for his word will never change Friend if you need a miracle, just call upon his name Written By: Daniel A. Brown III Sherri was cooking (something she didn’t often do, and it made her nervous to cook for me), I was pestering her, and she dropped a pot holder behind the stove. She yelled out something (I don’t remember what, but it sounded like she had burnt herself or caught the house on fire), I ran over to her and said “what’s wrong”, she replied “I dropped a pot holder behind the stove”. I said, “Well, that’s not a big thing, we’ll just move the stove and get it when your done”. I went into the other room, and God said that’s how you are, you over react to every little thing. You make every little problem a crisis. So I wrote “It’s Not A Big Thing”.
I got that Good Ole’ Rock that Just Won’t Roll 133

I got that good ole rock that just won’t roll a sure foundation he’s my cornerstone He gives you peace way down in your soul I got that good ole rock that just won’t roll
Call me the Rev. call me what you will say it’s old fashioned say it’s over the hill But when he comes I’ll be shouting still I got that good ole rock that just won’t roll
I’m hooked on Jesus cause his love is real he gives new wine that doesn’t come from a still He gives a high like none found in a pill I got that good ole rock that just won’t roll
Rewritten By: Daniel A. Brown III I’ve Found God’s Love Is Real 134
Did you ever stop to think, what great power it takes to hear our every prayer To hear what we think, our every thought, he will think and yet, forgives the heart sincere How great is a love, that can see far above our doubts and foolish fears Though we question his grace, even walk in disgrace he stands faithful through the years
I know he loves me yes he loves me still I know he loves me he loves me and yes, oh yes he will Through many trials and though I’m tired and many times I’ve failed Through every trial over every mile I’ve found God’s love is real
He’s made me to stand, I’m a brand new man he has washed away my tears The old man has died, no more must I hide or walk all my life in fear I have conquered the sin, that destroyed from within my every effort to find relief How do I know? oh I know it is so! for I live in perfect peace!!! Written By: Daniel A. Brown III February 15, 1992 (in Asuncion Paraguay) Written at Danny Talavera’s house in Asuncion. I was staying with there family and singing and preaching some in the area. Danny was in college, and his studies consumed him, and I had a lot of time on my hands. So one day I sat down at the piano, and out came “I Know God’s Love Is Real”. Paraguay was good for me, I seen how much we are blessed. I first felt loneliness in Paraguay. I decided I was going to marry Sherri there also.
Now many’s the man with heart stained with sin not knowing that God gave his all And we who are freed oh so privileged indeed fail to show them the Savior or Cross We enjoy this great plan for redemption of man we walk in this freedom so grand But they die in their sin never knowing one friend who can show them their way back home
Oh I know, my Jesus loves me and he saves all who’ll believe He sees every sparrow that falls, yes it’s true and I know he loves even you
Is your soul all alone does your heart long for home are you hurting, your life in despair You don’t know where to turn you’ve tried and you’ve learned that no one has the answer to your cares But I know a friend whether sex drugs or sin he’ll love you and make you his own No matter what you’ve done he’ll give you a home he will love you, oh please let him in
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III April 1992 A Prayer To The God Of My Life 136
There are times, when I cry God have you forgotten me When I’m down and all alone my way I cannot see Through the dim lit hours, he sends his power his light of truth I see And I hear him gently say child let me guide thee
Now I come, to the altar of my God and I cast on him my every care With shouts of joy and thankful heart I raise my sacrifice I sing a prayer to the God of my life
By day the Lord directs his love by night he is my song Although my heart is sinking still I shall never walk alone As the deer pants for the water brook my soul runs after you I bring my song, my sacrifice to you Written By: Daniel A. Brown III & Darryl R. Pursley May 7, 1992 Up until Sherri and I were married, I was living with “D” and Shirley Pursley, (He is the minister of music at Fee Fee Baptist Church). I sat my keyboard up in the room I was staying in, and “D” and I would sing sometimes. One day he said, “Let’s write a song together” so we did. I never sang it out, because it just didn’t fit me, but Wendi started singing, and she picked it out of my songbook, learned it, and she sings it quite often.
When I know all I’ve said is worthless and I feel I’ve done all in vain The heart of my friend is hurting and there’s no way I can share their pain There’s a hope and a peace when I whisper with assurance Jesus name I know he will break every fetter every chord every sin every chain
For He’s the friend of the broken hearted he’s the mother to the orphaned child He’s a friend closer then a brother he is humble he is meek he is mild He cares what your heart is feeling he knows every tear you cry He is willing to bear your burden he’s your friend, he’s your savior, he’s your life
Now I speak both assured and faithful with authority I seldom know For his spirit is in my bosom my soul desire is to let his love show For he’s given me peace unmeasured in my hours of deepest despair And I know he will give you power if you’ll speak on simple prayer
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III December 18, 1991 I can still hear them singing, the old rugged cross And I can still hear the preacher, saying’ come if your lost And I can hear my momma, singing Amazing Grace And I still see the teardrops, as they roll down her face
I can see the crowd gathering, before each service starts Many dear old Christians, praying for the lost Some of those are gone now, but their prayers still pray on One of those is momma, she sings a brand new song
Heaven gained a treasure when momma made it home With the angels singing it won’t be long Joined with her loved ones she sings around God’s throne Yes Heaven gained a treasure and momma made it home
Now up in heaven, momma sings in a choir Sweet music she is making, as she lifts God’s anthems higher I often thought my momma, should have worn angels wings But now the angels listen, as my momma sings Tag I know that she’s in heaven, with joy she never had Yes, Heaven gained a treasure, but momma, I miss you bad Written By: Danny & Sherri Brown Sherri wrote the first two verses of this song, long before we ever met. She threw them in the trash, but her mother found them. Some time after we were married, she gave them to me and wanted us to finish it. So after church one evening, Sherri and I sat down and together wrote the chorus and the third verse. I think it turned out to be one of our best. There are many things in this life that make me cry There are many a one who do there best to see me die But through it all nothings really changed between my Lord and I Through his tender care he’s always there and he makes me right
And I sing I have a love in my life I sing I have all I need inside I know through his love, and through his faithfulness he’s shown me I could live I know that I have found a love for life
There are many times I feel so low but then that’s how it goes If no valleys ever came my way then how would I know Through his faithfulness he conquers every trial I face And he’s taught me how he brings me out through his amazing grace
And I know that I have found a love for all my life I’ve found a love who’s faithful now and for all time Through many trials I’ve come and I will fall again I’m sure But I know I’ve found a faithful love that will endure A love for life Written By: Daniel A. Brown III Momma prayed, Daddy made a living for family and home And though I was small, they laid down the law and taught me to know right from wrong Now I see, just how hard it was for momma and daddy to go on And I thank God each day, for making a way for me to be raised in their home
I’m seeing clearer and I’m getting nearer As the man in the mirror daily looks more like them If I keep on going the way things keep rolling Soon I will know, all they have told me since way back then
We boys grew to men, and sis’ to a woman and daddy wiser it seemed As I made my mistakes, I learned daddy’s ways weren’t nearly as strange as they used to be Now when I speak, I so often see daddy keeps coming out in me Though I wanted so bad, to be my own man I’m finding I’m more and more like him Written By: Daniel A. Brown III April 1991 I wrote this song in my friend’s driveway, with my guitar and a note pad. I was trying to support myself, and things were a little tight financially, and for maybe the first time in my life, I caught a glimpse of what my Daddy and Momma went through, trying to raise up 4 kids. My emotions just flowed out into “I’m Seeing Clearer”. Preach It Like Grandpa Preached It 141
In this modern age we live no two people ever see the same We’re either sending everyone to hell or we justify everything Why can’t we stop this senseless battle cast selfish pride to the ground Preach the word with a servants heart in love and pray the power down
We Gotta preach it like grandpa preached it we gotta walk it like the saints of old We Gotta mix some love and mercy in if we’ll walk those streets of gold We gotta pray and read the bible live the life that shows God’s love If we’ll preach it like grandpa preached it we’ll have power from above
When Jesus came to earth he taught in both deed and word the truth Walk victorious over sin in everything you say and do The prostitute needs the Savior the homosexual God’s love Men are seeking for the power that we have through God above
When you finally reach that city and you stand before God’s throne Only one things gonna matter then will he say child welcome home Now did you love your brother did you worship God alone Did you seek to save a dying world or was your heart a stone Written By: Daniel A. Brown III Saturday October 26. 1991 The Holy Ghost put the Praise ALL OVER Me 142
God said when his people praise his name his spirit there would be And he promised where my spirit is there shall be Liberty The Holy Ghost put the Praise all over me The Holy Ghost put the Praise all over me
He filled my total being when his spirit moved in me Can’t help it when I praise his name I dance and shout and sing Cause the Holy Ghost put the Praise all over me The Holy Ghost put the Praise all over me
The Holy Ghost put the Dance down in my feet The Holy Ghost put the Dance down in my feet I just can’t keep from dancing when his spirit moves on me I said the Holy Ghost put the Praise all over me
The Holy Ghost put the Raise up in my hands The Holy Ghost put the Raise up in my hands I just can’t help but lift them high how he died for all my sin The Holy Ghost put the Praise all over me
The Holy Ghost put the Love You in my heart The Holy Ghost put the Love You in my heart He gave me love for my brother He gave me a brand new start The Holy Ghost put the Praise all over me
(the Holy Ghost put the praise… cont. from p.142) The Holy Ghost put the singing in my voice The Holy Ghost put the singing in my voice I just can’t help from singing I just got to make some noise The Holy Ghost put the Praise all over me All over me, All over me All over me, All over me I said the Holy Ghost put the Praise all over me Written By Daniel A. Brown III I was in my office at the church we were pastoring in Fillmore MO. I was trying to prepare a message that would create a little excitement in the congregation. My message was talking about the Holy Ghost, and how when he comes into you he possesses every part of your anatomy. I started singing and out came “The Holy Ghost Put The Praise All Over Me”. We Mussent Worry Bout These Little Things 143
When I see just how he made the mountain tall Each blade of grass and made each snowflake fall All things the working of his hand According to his master plan We mussent worry bout these little things
We mussent worry bout these little things No matter how big the trial seams It’s nothing much at his command A speck of dust, a grain of sand We mussent worry bout these little things
The sun and moon he hung up in the sky He made the wings that make each sparrow fly When we are faced with big problems He’s touched and feels each one of them He’s promised he will keep us by his hand
He keeps us even as the years go by He sees our fears and hears our faintest cry He said he’ll be there to the end and promised even to defend We mussent worry bout these little things

Wait, Please don’t stop I’m not through loving you There are these things only I can help you through Just be patient, I am still waiting talk to me once more I can help you, if you’ll let me walk through that closed door
Just take the time to pray and I will answer you Just take the time to say Lord, help me through You have not, because you ask not don’t be afraid to ask Just take a minute, or an hour or two and pray it through
Many times I’ve tried to move for you but was stopped through disbelief Mountain moving, is not hard to do if you have faith in me But when you doubt my power, your yielding to the devourer and then his will you’ll do So ask and believe, don’t hinder me just pray it through Written By: Daniel A. Brown III Nov. 10, 1993 Pastoring taught me a lot of lessons. Watching the people, and listening to their problems, and seeing that most of the time they don’t really mean what they say. An alter service with 2 minute prayers don’t cut it. Old timers talk about when a sinner would “ray through”. I think we need some old fashioned prayer warriors, who will tarry in the alter till something happens. So, from God’s perspective, I wrote “Pray It Through”. Just a wonderer, in such danger I heard God’s word that night It spoke to me, in my misery and I know my heart must find A peach and assurance that only God can give and as I nelt there, and spoke that simple prayer Lord please forgive
An old dusty alter and one willing soul A heart that is broken and a head that’s bowed low Two knees humbly kneeling in reverence for it’s there At that old dusty alter God answered my prayer
Where I prayed, the dust is washed away and the tears have left their stains An Angel, became mine I know and he walks with me each day With Jesus as my savior the Holy Ghost as my guide I found his love at the alter and I will ever abide Written By: Daniel A. Brown III August 11, 1993 Sherri and I were riding in my Thunderbird, on our way to St. Joseph to see her parents. Out of the blue she said (after starring out the window for some time) “You need to write a song about an old dusty alter”, so I did. I said, “Get a pencil and paper” and dictated it to her, and by the time we reached her parents, it was ready to rehearse.
As I awakened one morning, a vision I seen From behind a man coming, with a blade to kill me As he rose up his weapon, the knife fell from his hand His arm became withered, and his feet failed to stand
I felt chills all over, God’s spirit was near I didn’t know, shout for joy, or sit quietly in fear I cried Lord please show me, of this thing make some sense He said fret not of others, I am your defense
I’m the great God Jehovah and I’m looking over From over your shoulder I can see the end and you will win I am your provider a strong mighty tower Much more than your maker I’m your defense
I was reading in the bible, we are told to rejoice All those that trust God, let them ever shout for joy But why are we shouting, when the fowler is near The great tempest is raging, we’re surrounded by fear
We are much more than conquers, when we stand on his word Become the righteousness of Jesus, through the blood and the word God said if you love my name, be joyful in me I bless the righteous with favor, and I will defend thee Written By: Daniel A. Brown III September 17, 1993 A particular person very close to us, for whatever reason, was going around the whole country telling lies on us, trying to destroy our witness. God awakened me in the middle of the night, and I saw a vision. I went to Arlance Clark’s house the next day, and shared the vision with him, and he reminded me of Jeroboam (1 Kings 13:4-6) when the king raised his hand against the man of God, his arm withered (KJV “dried up”). God will do whatever he has to do deliver, protect and defend us. I wrote the vision, and the promise down and “I Am Your Defense” was the result.
We’re told by the prophet Joel one day the rain would come The latter rain would be poured out on your daughters and your sons For so many years, we’ve waited here preached the word and praised his name Now looking to the hills where comes my help I can say that it looks like rain
Looks like rain, I can see the clouds a gathering Looks like rain, the wind begins to blow Well he poured out the latter rain the power and the Holy Ghost He poured out his saving grace he wants the whole wide world to know His spirit’s working through us now his power is just the same And as the wind begins to change, it looks like rain
Now Jesus left the promise that he’d come back again But before he would come back his spirit would descend On all flesh sighs and wonders shall follow who’ll believe This latter rain that is coming now is bringing power to you and me
Years ago he called our fathers and the spirit fell on them As they preached and prayed and testified the power did descend Well our God never changes more than conquers are we Knocking down the walls of darkness now let us set the captive free Written By: Daniel A. Brown III 2/12/1994 I’m Going Down To The Gates Of Hell 148 Now Satan’s occupied, to many a house, a way to long His demon’s and his spirits have built walls around our young The gates of hell, shall not prevail so let ole’ Satan try We must go down, and take them back because that’s why Jesus died
I’m going down, to the gates of hell I’m taking back, what Satan stole God’s word won’t fail Jesus said “I build my church & hell’s gates shall not prevail” We the church of God, must go down to the gates of hell and knock them down
We’ve been lied to for so long, accepting compromise Satan stole our children, we just ran away to hide But our God gave us power over sin and death and hell We must go back, and get the faith and wage a war on hell
Now Jesus died upon the cross, for all who will believe He bore the stripes upon his back to heal both you and me The keys to death, hell and the grave he took back from the crook When Satan tries to rob you say “hay, it’s written in the book” Written By: Daniel A. Brown III February 22, 1994 Though one time known for our compassion we are now known for our actions We just let them know exactly how we feel No longer moved by love and mercy seeking only what is perfect it’s hard to tell what’s fake and what is real
That one once known as a prayer warrior is now known as Miss mail order Who’s blessed book is Sears and Roebuck Catalog We are seeking for prosperity my friend oh why can’t we see We’ve swallowed Satan’s sinker hook and Lie
God has no place in our church, for the Holy Ghost cannot work we have quenched his spirit and left him way behind No more God and all his Glory, and that blessed old old story But we’re baby-sitting Christians moved by time …. We just don’t see the sighs following, no we’re way to busy bottling theirs no time for us to set the captive free God’s word is just a story, we’ve forgotten what our calling is and we’re manifesting mans ability
We have a preacher with four doctorates and a choir that sings eight octaves and a steeple you can see for fifteen miles Our softball team is first place and our men’s group makes the best steak but we’ve lost the hunger for old fashioned power
We’re no longer holy rollers no friend we have just rolled over and played dead while old Satan robbed us blind We must go back and seek God’s power preach the message of the hour or we’ll wind up in the ditch where blind lead blind Written By: Daniel A. Brown III August 11, 1993 My words, sometimes avail sometimes are useless One moment faith, and the next defeat is confessed In my confusion, one thing is sure your word will always endure Always secure, your word will bring me rest
When I stand I stand by your word I find I can stand through the gospel I have heard You are my friend even when it seems no way I can win & that is when I stand by your word
The road is long, and the night so dark around me I have no song, and relief has still not found me My every friend, has turned me down but your peace I have found Is to me now, a sword, and a shield around me
Tag Be with me Lord and stand by your word Yes I can stand for you stand by your word Written By: Daniel A. Brown III August 21, 1993 I Just Can’t Help But Loving 151
I sought for love and he found me I sought for mercy he surrounds me I sought for peace and he carries me I just can’t help but loving
I sought for joy and he gave me a song I sought for a friend and he gave me a home I sought for laughter and his love filled my all I just can’t help but loving
(bridge) The more he loves me the more I believe That in his mercy he meets every need
I sought in darkness and he gave me light I sought though so wrong and he made all right I sought for rest his peace came in the night I just can’t help but loving
I sought for assurance and he gave me his word I sought for freedom he gave me wings like a bird I sought for shelter he just calmed the storm I just can’t help but loving
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III May 16, 1993 Gabriels Lips Are On The Trumpet 152
There are times I get discouraged as a trial I go through And I seem to fret and worry can I ever make it through Then I recall “wherefore comfort one another with these words” and “even so come LORD Jesus” so I preach the message I have heard
Gabriel’s lips are on the trumpet all of heaven stands at bay They are waiting for the moment when they hear the master say Jesus go and get your children Gabriel blow your trumpet strong Gabriel’s lips are on the trumpet very soon we’re going home
When Jesus called I answered yes LORD he said “come and follow me Walk by faith and not by sight boy to my precious word take heed Though I lead you through the valley my saving grace shall never stop If you will be true and faithful there’ll be another mountain top” Written By: Daniel A. Brown III March, 26, 1994 We were attending a convention in Tulsa OK, and there were several people who testified of having seen (what they felt were) angels. These three particular testimonies were incredibly similar. Each person had picked up a hitch hiker on the highway, the man had told them get ready, Jesus was coming soon and that Gabriel’s lips were even already on the trumpet. When they stopped an let the person out, driving away, they looked back, and the man had disappeared. I don’t know about the testimonies, but they spurred me on to write “Gabriel’s Lip’s Are On The Trumpet”. I don’t deserve, to feel his touch no I’m not worthy I don’t know, how he saves a soul so undeserving How he can care, and still be there so oft’ I’ve failed him But he is there, and hears each prayer I humbly tell him
He forgives me when I call each time I falter He takes my feet, from sinking sand to the Gibraltar And he will make, from what I am a thing of beauty LORD please take me as I am but make me like thee
A wretched man, so scarred by sin is still not useless If he will let, the master in and his sin confess Though he be lost, in dark of night his soul despairing Jesus blood, will wash him white take his sin from him
(Tag) And he will make, from what I am A thing of beauty LORD please take me as I am LORD don’t leave me as I am But LORD please take me as I am and make me like thee
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III March 26, 1994 Don’t Wait So Long To Call 154 Hello, It’s good to hear your voice I’ve been waiting for so long For you to make this choice I called you many times But I was left behind Someone else was on your mind Now your calling me, Oh what is your need You wouldn’t waste your time
Oh, You’ve got a problem And it’s a big one It makes the last one Seem so small And you know I’ll always answer every time you call Through every singel mess And broken primises I’ve come through every time Why can’t you learn To call on me Before you get behind
Don’t Wait so long to call I’m always standing near Don’t leave me last to know Although I always answer If you just take the time It doesn’t cost a dime And you know I’ll always hear I will meet Your every need If you just call on me Written By: Daniel A. Brown III March 30, 1994 I awakened one morning, to the screen door banging and somebody called out my name I ran to the stairs, yelled out “Who’s There” but there was no one there to say a thing Then I realized, for Jesus opened my eyes it was a devil disturbing my dreams So I pulled out my sword, said, “Ah you’ve come back for more” who do you think you are
Who do you think you are who do you think you are I’m a child of the King Lord God Almighty But who do YOU think you are I been bought with a price, and I been baptized in that Holy Ghost Heavenly Power Satan your a liar, and your bound for the fire Who do you think you are
I was heading for home, my work day was done a new song in my heart for the rain Then the tire blew out, my car shook all about so I called out on Jesus name While pulling it over, onto the shoulder a man honked said get out of my way Satan wanted my joy, but his plan was destroyed and I shouted on the side of the highway
Satan you were kicked out of heaven, stripped of your living bound in chains of darkness and sin You exalted yourself, above God and all else now you’ll never know peace again So you crucified Christ, on the cross he died and he took away all of my sin And he rose the third day, and he still lives today so who do you think you are Written By: Daniel A. Brown III & Sherri F. Brown May 6,1994 More Than You’ll Ever Know 156 Knelt Down at the side of an old man a dying Knowing well his preaching days were over Such pain in his body He could no longer hide it But his love for his Lord still grew stronger A chill of death in his eyes as he gazed into mine as to say son, be strong, it won’t be long You’ve made me so proud but it’s all yours now
I love you more than you’ll ever know More than you’ll ever know More than you’ll ever know More than the pain in my eyes and more than these tears could show A love that is stronger than hell or death? yes it’s stronger! and time won’t fade it I know As timeless as the ages more than all the written pages I love you more than you’ll ever know
Now I walk down life’s Highway no detours no byways a message in my heart for the world I follow the example laid down before me walk straight in the light of God’s word But I recall that one time in life we laid all else aside shared a love the redeemed only know How precious the heritage the life that was holy lived means more than you’ll ever know
Bent down neath a rugged cross counting his life but loss taking on all the sin of the world He lay aside the splendor all heaven he surrendered to purchase salvation for the soul Rejected by the multitude despised and falsely accused stricken, smitten, and alone Even in his dying hour speaking overcoming power I love you more than you’ll ever know Written By: Daniel A. Brown III In Memory of Rev. J.R. Ivie June 12, 1994 My Grandpa Ivie (Rev. J R Ivie) had been an Assembly of God pastor for some 50 years. He and I had not seen eye to eye on many things. He was very strict, old line Pentecost. He believed men had short hair, no facial hair, no jewelry, dark suits with white shirts, and women had long hair, no jewelry, no makeup, long dresses only, etc… Many times he would tell me, “Better get your hair cut, or it’s gonna send you to hell” or “Quit hot rodding that piano, this is the church, not the honky tonk”, one time in particular I remember he said “I don’t know why any sissy wants to wear a pinkie ring, God hated anything effeminate”.
Well, the truth was my Grandpa loved me very much, and he had convictions about such things, and he believed he was right, so he wanted me to be just as right as he was. He was a tall man, well over 6 ft., and spoke with power and authority. So even when he was being sweet, you couldn’t necessarily tell it by the sound of his voice.
But Grandpa was very ill now, dying with cancer, so Sherri and the girls and I went to see him. When we arrived he was incoherent, so we went to the bus and went to bed. About 5:00 a.m. they called us in to speak with him.
He looked me in the eyes, and said “son I’m proud of you!!” (it was about all I could do to hold back the tears) he went on “you’re the only one of my sons or grandsons preaching the gospel”. Then he looked me straight in the eye and said, “I love you more, that you’ll ever know”. I began crying uncontrollably. He went on and told the girls, Stormy (Misty), Muddy (Raini), and Cyclone (Wendi) (as he called them), “Be faithful to Jesus”.
Three days later he passed, early on a Sunday. On the way to the funeral home, still hearing his words, wrote “More Than You’ll Ever Know”. Mary and Martha, standing over by the tomb Wonderin’ where is Jesus, he should have been there too Lazareth their brother, has been dead one day now two Jesus still was not there, what are they gonna do Then kind of nonchalantly, no sorrow felt at all Jesus walked up and they said, you didn’t come when we called Now dead three days he stinketh, please don’t make them move the stone But Jesus spoke into the tomb, and Lasareth came forth and he said
Loose him and let him go, Loose him and let him go He’s wrapped up in those grave clothes, standing over by the door Begging for his freedom, he’s not dead any more Don’t let those old rags scare you, there’s nothing now to fear Old Satan’s bound and conquered, and the Devils out of here So loose him and let him go
Then one day Jesus was preaching, to those who gathered round A boy so bound by demons, started screaming in the crowd Fear struck Jesus Deciples, they said get him out of here But Jesus said be still now, there’s nothing now to fear Then over on the hillside, he saw a heard of swine And speaking to the legions, of demons in that boys mind Begging him to let them go, into the herd of swine When Jesus granted there request, the pigs committed suicide and he said
Loose him and let him go, Loose him and let him go He’s burdened down with sorrow, carrying’ such a load Fighting with the demons, they’re trying to steal his soul He’s calling out for mercy, and there’s nothing now to fear For Jesus has all power, and the Devils out of here So loose him and let him go
So when you face the devil, remember who is boss Confess the word in power, say old slew foot you lost Your evil spell was broken, when Jesus paid the cost Hell, death & the grave he conquered, when he nailed them to his cross When he comes against your children, put him on the run Plead the blood and testify, that’s how we overcome You’ve got the power within you, to make the devil go So bind him bruise him cast him out, he’s a defeated foe Just say loose him and let him go Written By: Daniel A. Brown III As I wake up with the morning of another day a dawning in my mind I find that there’s an aching from another trial shaking up my life Finding faith for tomorrow cause I’m walking where the wind blows and the tempter only comes to cloud my mind But I know that I can make it with Jesus I can take it when it’s said and done the victory will me mine
Here I go again Lord I know with you I’ll win Please give me the strength to stand Here I go again
When I’m alone and tired and weeping and the midnight silence ringing in my ears All my faithful friends are gone now it’s just me left here alone with my tears My heart begins to racing as my mind begins to chasing all those memories that bring such doubt and fear I know that he is leading he’ll give me what I’m needing I speak his name and he says child I’m here Written By: Daniel A. Brown III December 1994 Sherri and I were going through the long emotional process of adoption. We had been consumed with the process for several months. The agency would tell us they had found us a baby, then after we had the diapers, baby bed, bottles and all the things that go with it, the adoption would fall through. Every time it happened, Sherri’s heart would be ripped out of her. One day in Texas, we received one such call, telling us our adoption had fallen through. Sherri was talking on the phone and we could tell by her countenance, this wasn’t good. The agency told her we were not going to get the baby we were trying for, but in almost in the same breath said, “we have another one we would like you to consider, it’s going to be born in June”. Sherri was like, I don’t know if I can start believing for another one, we’ve tried so many times and every time it falls through. When she hang the phone up, she looked at us and kind of shakey in her voice, said, “Well, Here I Go Again”. I started thinking, isn’t that just about the way it is with everything in our life. It seems we jump from the frying pan into the fire. About the time we conquer the conflict, we’re involved in full scale war. Friend God has promised he would never leave us, nor forsake us, but he would be with us, until the end of the age. He most times delivers through the fire, not from the fire, through the lions den, not from the lions den. We only truly conquer the mountains we climb. So when your trials come and you can’t go over, you can’t go around, you have to go through. Just hold Jesus hand, look the Devil in the eye, say “get thee behind me Satan, I’m more that a conqueror”, and “Here I Go Again”.
Through many a trial I walk now and then sometimes the dark clouds cause the light to grow dim But I have a shelter and his light shines within Like a beckon at midnight his love shines again
When I want to run he just says ride out your storm Your save in my hand on my word you can stand Though the dark clouds are rolling they can do you no harm When your heart wants to run just ride out your storm
Now when your discouraged your vision is gone The tempter has tried you and he stole your song The accusers enticing his lies sound true Just call out on Jesus your strength he’ll renew

Ain’t no rock, gonna get the chance I’m gonna praise the King of Kings I’m gonna sing and clap my hands Dance it Shout it we have got the victory
There is a crowd in Luke 19 Jesus was leading down the hill past the Pharisees Disciples were praising the multitude rejoicing oar miracles and wonders they had seen The Pharisees did not like this they said master rebuke them he turned and he faced them from the crowd Jesus said I tell you if these should hold their peace the stones would immediately cry out
In camels hair and leather came he preaching, repent ye for the kingdom of heaven is at hand John saw sadusees & Pharisees coming for baptizing but in their hearts had not confessed their sins Oh generation of vipers tell me who has warned you to flee from the wrath to come Don’t you say we have Abraham for God is able to of these stones to raise up children unto him Written By: Daniel A. Brown III January 16, 1995 Written at Charles Little’s church in Kansas City during revival meeting. I seen him at the alter he must have been just two Kneeling by his momma as she tried to pray through Reaching up he wiped the tears away from his mommy’s eyes Lifted up his little hand praise the Lord his little voice cried
I had watched him through the service such a precious little boy Clapping his hands and singing out loud with all that grown up joy It touched my heart so sweetly makes me nearly cry still Those little arms and little hands I wonder how God must feel
Suffer not the children, bring them unto me When you’ve done it to the least of these, you’ve done it unto me We need more tender mommas, a few more daddys with a Godly zeal When we fail the children, I wonder how God must feel
Little arms round mommy’s neck mow it’s time to go on home Wasn’t service great, howd’ it get so late Jesus loves me this I know A story from the Bible and a prayer down on our knees Can’t you just – imagine God when he hears I lay me down to sleep Oh Please don’t fail the children, consider how God must feel Suffer Not The Children Written By: Danny and Sherri Brown March 16 1995 We were in revival in St. Genevieve MO, with Pastor Tommy Mapes. We were having a wonderful, powerful revival. There was a little boy there by the name of Patrick. His birthday was on St. Patrick’s Day, and he was going to be 2 years. old that week. Through the service his mother would hold him, and they would praise the LORD. Little Patrick would watch the congregation, and if he seen somebody raise there hand, he would raise his little hand and praise the LORD. If someone said Amen, he’d say Amen. If we were singing, although he didn’t know the words, and couldn’t read the transparency, he would sing with all he had. When the service was ending, and the alter service was well under way, Patrick and his mother were in the altar praying. Patrick watched mommy, he knelt down, just like mommy, folded his hands, just like mommy, bowed his head, just like mommy, but suddenly he realized mommy was crying, with a puzzled look on his face (as if now what do I do, I’m having too much fun to cry), he reached his little hand up and wiped the tears from his mommy’s eyes. Sherri and I had been watching this throughout the service, and when service was over, we together wrote this song. We struggled with the title, “Suffer Not The Children” because Jesus said, “Suffer the children to come unto me”. But in the day and age we live in the word “Suffer” no longer means, “allow someone to do something”. However when we hear the word “Suffer” we relate it to someone hurting, and suffering pain. Truly the children of the United Stated and the World have Suffered enough. Of every broken home, the children Suffer the most, every alcoholic parent, every drug abuser, every ill tempered adult, it is the children who suffer. God is sending out a message today, “Suffer Not The Children”. Little Patrick has a very special place in our heart’s and I would like everyone who reads this to pray for Patrick. Little did we know that when his mommy was in the altar, she was weeping and praying because she had a brain tumor, which was inoperable. A year and a half later she died, leaving little Patrick alone. I don’t know where Patrick is today but I pray he’s serving Jesus, that’s what I know his mommy would want the most. I have a feeling Patrick will be okay, because we have a promise of God, Prov 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” I believe even though Patrick’s mother only trained him until he was a little over three years old, the Godly impression she left on him, he will never forget the impact of a God fearing mother. This Judgment Bound People 162 Lord so long ago you called me anointed me to preach your word To mend up the broken hearted with others share the news I heard When I stand to minister I feel a bitter chill When I think how I’m responsible I stand between each soul and hell
Lord grant me the power I’ll give you the glory The message of the hour to tell the old old story I will sing to you your praises I will preach your holy word let my heart be pure, let my words be yours For I stand before this judgment bound people
I’ve been preaching for some time now of God’s power and Jesus name His anointing has never failed me his power is just the same Every time I stand behind that sacred desk I feel I need that power more every hour I’ve got some mighty big shoes to fill Written By: Daniel A. Brown III November 29, 1995 We were in our home church, and Pastor Dennis was preaching. During the course of his sermon he made the simple statement, “This is a judgment bound people”. I didn’t think much about it at the time, but I couldn’t get it off of my mind. I don’t really understand why, because I know, it’s appointed unto man once to die, and after that the judgment. Saved souls will stand before the judgment seat of Christ, and sinners, the great white throne judgment. But every time I stood behind the pulpit, for the next 2 solid months, I would hear his words ringing out in my ears, “This Is A Judgment Bound People”, so I penned the words to this song.

Written By: (Daddy) Daniel A. Brown III November 30, 1995 Just a little lullaby I wrote for Chloe’.
Many are sleeping, cold as Neptune They never move, their pew is their tomb The fire’s gone out, no hope now they’ve said But our god has called us, to wake up the dead
Play it loud play it long Play it hard sing out my song The Lord has called me by his prophet he said Prepare for war Wake up the dead Church Wake Up Wake Up, Wake Up Wake Up, Wake Up The Lord has called me by his prophet he said Prepare for war Wake up the dead Church Wake Up
Stand to your feet, prepare for war Mighty men of God, draw near to the Lord In power and faith, raise your shield in hand Pray in the spirit, on God’s word you can stand
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III December 3, 1995 Co Written By: Nicholas Salamone & Shawn King I was standing in the hallway waiting for my turn, in the long line The sudden shock had chilled me when I heard the news, “our good friend had died” As the memories kept unfolding every one, a favorite one to see My turn came, how chilling what my eyes beheld nearly sent me to my knees
You see, I had been his friend some time now and I had walked down the same road, he had gone All the loneliness and crying the hours of bitter fear he had known He had even shared some of them with me and I shared with him my trials and my LORD But somewhere his faith had left him with no home, no faith, no friends and no hope
It could have been me lying cold there in the shadows It could have been me lost so far from home It could have been me crying out for mearcy But for God and his grace, it could have been me
Now I wonder as I stand here and ponder the purpose of it all When I see the pain of others my trials somehow seem to grow so small LORD please grant to me the power to bear my brothers burden as my own For today it’s another but tomorrow, it may be me who needs some hope Written By: Daniel A. Brown III Completed March 15, 1996 Written in 1995 just after Dennis Cook’s funeral. I’M GONNA PRAISE THE NAME OF JESUS WHILE I CAN 166
Folks are preaching compromise they have let their morals down Though one time yes they knew God give him no glory now Begging always wanting more never satisfied Unthankful with their conscience seared God save them while there’s time
Friend our God is a Holy God Holy Word & a Holy Ghost He still believes in Holiness Holy life’s what he wants most He demands a separation from this world and all it’s sin If your gonna praise his holy name it’s got to start down deep within
CHORUS I’m gonna praise the name of Jesus while I can I’m gonna laugh & dance & sing & clap my hands I’m gonna tell the world about him Gonna sing I’m gonna shout it I’m gonna praise the name of Jesus while I can
The angels and the seraphim’s praise God upon his throne Choirs of the Host of Heavens sing his Glory all day long But God desired that someone Praise him of their own free will So he created mankind Hoping Free he’d Praise Him Still
Many folks are wandering I wandered round to long Their looking for the Power the powers already come Their looking for a new thing a new word & a new way Since the dawn of the creation we Triumph through our Praise Written By: Daniel A. Brown III April 29, 1996
David was a man of praise loved to sing and loved to pray He’s dance with all his might through the day way into the night He’d sing a victory song when everything went wrong He’d say shout with me, give God the glory triumph through his praise
They say, today’s a different day but God is still the same Generations come and go but God will never change Sing redemption’s song give God all of the praise It won’t be long, and we’ll be going it might be today
We’ll be dancing on the hills shouting in the streets Friend can you wait until we bow down at his feet We’ll hear him say “well done” walk on golden streets No doubt about it, gonna’ be there shouting dancing on the hills We’re told about a throng singing round the throne I’m gonna sing along kinda’ feel like I’m at home Gonna’ dance and shout and sing round the throne of the king Friend if your looking forward to it stand and help me sing
When my feet start to tap my legs start to move My hands start to clap kind of get into the groove Well excuse me if I shout or if I start to run But it won’t be very long I’m getting ready to go home
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III February 23, 1997 @ 2:10 a.m. My Trials Merit Not The Question Why 168 Why, Is just a word for LORD I’m doubting you I really, am not sure that I believe in you Then I think of what he did for me and all that he’s been through My trials, merit not, the question why
He was mawked, he was spat upon he was beaten too They laughed at him, they tore his clothed he drank vinegar too His closest friends, turned their back on him denied they ever knew him No my trials, merit not, the question why
My trials, seem like nothing when I think of him What he did for me, nailing to his cross all of my sin He took my pain, gave me a brand new name washed away, all of my sin So how, could I ask, the question why
Then they nailed him, to a rugged cross by his hands and feet Wore a crown of thorns, as he made his way down the dirty street Beaten 39 times, with a cat of 9 tails then he carried that cross, so weak No my trials, merit not, the question why Written By: Daniel A. Brown III February 17, 1997@ 2:30 a.m. We had just finished a 6 week revival in Bay City TX, and came to Choctaw OK and revival broke out for 3 more weeks, I was totally exhausted, I went into the church to have a pity party and God gave me “My Trials Merit Not The Question Why”.
Many trials here below no real friend, no place to go Doubts and fears, cloud my mind I’m looking for the sunshine I wonder why, LORD I’m in doubt are you sure you can bring me out But when I stand before his throne I will know as I am known
Won’t want to ask the reasons why just want to sit down by his side Gather round the throne with all the people Want to hear, “come on in step through the gate no more sin no more hate never again will I have to wait or stand another trial When I reach the other side won’t need to ask the reasons why
Someone said the other day “oh I can hardly wait To get to heaven, see my Jesus ask him all that’s on my mind” You can be sure he has a reason you just keep on believing Once your standing by his side you won’t need to ask the reasons why

Remember him say I must go away But Surely I’ll Come back again And I’ll take you home To where you belong To that mansion built with my own hands
Just keep your eyes on the eastern skies You know not the day nor the hour When he’ll come again Yes he’s coming my friend So be ready and filled with his power
He’s coming back soon In your heart is there room Have you made preparation to meet him Salvation is free To all who’ll believe But you’ve gotta have your reservation in
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III May 19, 1995 I’ve know many a man who professed they knew God But their eyes don’t reflect him their lips, seldom speak from his heart Though they claim the power they spend the hours talking money, houses, and cars when it’s all said and done they’ve exalted just one themselves, and just who they are
I’ve searched this world over looking over my shoulder searching for a brother that’s true And oh so seldom do you find someone willing to really let Jesus shine through But my spirit bears witness that he is your focus and the LORD of all that you do Oh how I thank him that your life’s a blessing and he’s more than everything to you Because I just seen Jesus in you
your light let his love shine through In your eyes I beheld him your glow was his reflection your whole life was his living proof I could have stayed there forever and talked of his power as his joy made ours brand new As we said our good-bye’s I broke down and cried, ‘cause I knew I’d just seen Jesus in you There will soon come a day when all who are saved will stand, before God’s, judgment seat Not by their power or great works on that hour but only by the blood of Calvary God’s eyes will behold us as life’s book’s unfolded I want to hear him say well done too Come enter my rest rejoice and be blessed you have finished, your race is through
My child, I just seen Jesus in you your light let his love shine through In your eyes I beheld him your glow was his reflection your whole life, was his living proof Now you’ll stay here forever we’ll talk of his power and his joy will be your joy too There’ll be no more good-bye’s no more tears in your eyes there all through Child, I just seen Jesus in you Written By: Daniel A. Brown III June 30, 1997 @ 3:15 a.m. We were in a meeting in Tampa Florida, and were privileged to meet Ronny Henson. I was honored just to meet him, but he also went to eat with us, and gave me a one hundred dollar check. We visited with him for some time, and the next night (since we didn’t have a service) we went to hear him sing. We went out to eat again and leaving the restaurant, I started writing this song, kind of as a tribute to my new found friend. Through this life sometimes we meet someone, such as Ronny, who you can say, “I didn’t see your attitude, your ideals, or your person, but I Just Seen Jesus In You”.
Whisper your name in the middle of the night Your there again and everything’s all right A spiritual touch, you touch me within you’ve done it and you do it, and you will do it all over again
Oh it’s a beautiful thing don’t know if I can keep it all in Just gota’ let it show what it is that won’t let me go
LORD it’s your love, it does something to me sends a shock right through me, I cain’t get enough If they wonder, if it’s a spell I’m under LORD it’s your love
Better than I was, more than I am & all this happened, by the nails in your hands Who I am now, is who I wanted to be Now it’s all together, always and forever, I’m happy and free
Oh, It’s a beautiful thing don’t know if I can keep it all in If they ask me why I changed all I gotta’ do is say your sweet name Written By: Daniel A. Brown III October 1997 We were asked to sing for Amber’s (a girl from our church) wedding, and she requested a Tim Magraw and Faith Hill song “It’s Your Love” after singing it at the wedding, I decided to change the words and I did. It is now one of our most requested songs. LORD, Let Your Spirit Rest On Me 173
LORD, Let your spirit rest on my Let your will LORD be all that I see To taste the sweetness of your grace To feel the warmth of your embrace LORD let your spirit rest on me
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III October 7, 1997 My pastor, Richard Dennis, had asked me to pray for him, because he was going through some things. I told him I would, and went to Sharpsburg United Methodist Church to hold a revival. Early one morning I got up and went into the church to pray. As I was praying for Bro. Dennis I started singing to myself, “Lord Let Your Spirit Rest On Me”. I grabbed a tablet and in just a couple of minutes the chorus was done. There are troubles all around on every thresh hold War, death and sin all across the land Men’s hearts fail them for fear we know the end in near As our LORD promised his coming is at hand
I can see the lights of home in the distance The glow of that city’s light fills up the sky Very soon Christ will make his appearance Hear the choir feel the fire we’re drawing nigh
So many who’ve been faithful now are turning cold As the prophet said theirs a falling away But the Spirits’ falling now and he’s still saving souls In his spirit and his power we’re gonna sail away Written By: Daniel A. Brown III October 11, 1997 Driving the bus from St. Louis to Monroe City MO, for revival at Zion Temple (a church of color), I was setting in the drivers seat, and Nick Salamone (my base player) was sitting beside me. Coming into town, we seen the glow of the city lights along the skyline, I said, “I Can See The Lights Of Home In The Distance”, and dictated the song to Nick.
Well I woke up this morning I had Jesus on my mind He gives me power, for every hour He’s with me all the time With amazing grace, and the power to save He’s got me on the run Brother I was born to overcome
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III January 10, 1998 Bay City TX From the east came the wise men to see the baby boy For God now had come to men to see him was their joy To him they brought gold frankincense and myrrh Precious things to a precious king that told of something more
You see, as a baby they honored him with gold But as a man, for silver change he would be sold Sold to an angry mob screaming crucify They would not be still again until they saw him die
The second one was frankincense his gift he would bring A sweet smelling fragrance fit for a king But little did they know one day a similar gift would be Brought and broke and poured on him preparing him for burying
The third one brought the myrrh to him a dark mysterous oil Both sweet and strong, to show the joy and pain that were to follow One day while hanging on a cross while mixed with vinegar This gift was brought to him again oh what pain he sufferred And now we bring our gifts this Christmas day While soft and sweet familiar carols play Let us remember Jesus he is our offering The gift, the sacrifice of love that makes the angels sing Written By: Daniel A. Brown III January 14, 1998 I was thinking of the Myrrh that they offered Jesus mixed with vinegar, while he was hanging on the cross. It was an offering of mercy, because the Myrrh was to lessen the pain, but Jesus refused. Pondering the gift, I considered the Myrrh was also offered to him as a baby. Then I went on to realize, they brought him gold, and sold him for silver (selling out cheap). They brought him Frankincense and the little sinner woman who washed his feet and broke the alabaster box and anointed him with it for his burial (Jesus said), it was either Frankincense or something very similar. Then the Myrrh brought by the wise men, and offered on the cross also, I see something here worth pondering.
Have you ever got soakin’ wet in a down pour of the spirit Ever let your hair down and got drenched from above Well the wind is a blowing in ain’t it about time, that you got in To the abundance of rain in the Holy Ghost
Step out in the water brother there’s a blessing coming down Wade out a little deeper in the river of his love & when you dip in, to the flow of the spirit you’ll be dancing when you feel it The abundance of rain in the Holy Ghost
I tippy toed around the edge of the water so I wouldn’t drown’ Dunked my head under once or twice But I’m way out in the middle now and there ain’t no turning round I’m caught in the current and I’m going down

Lord I come into your presence I seek none but thee Lord I give you reverence to you alone I sing
I’m resting on your mercy trusting in your grace Hungry and thirsty for righteousness with one humble request
Let me see your glory standing in your presence I know you are holy prepare my heart, lord cleanse it
Take away my self and pride what’s left of me be crucified My only one true hearts desire – is your fire Let me see your glory

When Moses came down, the skin of his face shown so bright that Aaron and the Israelites couldn’t stand to look at him. This song set the tone for the whole 3 weeks of revival.
Eye has not seen ear has not heard The things God’s prepared for those he loves But I have a teacher who’s making me a creature of Peace, Joy, & Love in the Holy Ghost
Peace, Joy, & Love Peace, Joy, & Love Peace, Joy, & Love in the Holy Ghost Straight from above I just cain’t get enough Peace, Joy, & Love in the Holy Ghost

Many years ago, in a Sunday morning Sunday school, I knelt and prayed With a heart full of sincerity I asked Jesus, come and stay He came into my heart that day and he took away, the sinful stains After all these many years now I can still feel the power, when I call his name
Yes Lord, I know you your all I’ve e-ver needed I know you, your face is all I see When this life is through and I stand before the judgment seat All I kneed to know is do you know me
Depart from me, ye worker of iniquity I never knew you No other words a man could ever hear could carry so much shame With a voice that sounds like a rushing, of many waters and we all will be there The only words I want to hear him say, on that day is child well done

Jesus gets so proud Oh don’t he get so proud When his people stop to pray Thank him for the day – And love him Cause people get so busy We rush – hustle and hurry But when I turn out the lights He’s still waiting for me
And when I get behind closed doors And I’m in the secret place Then he let’s his glory fall How I know – through the Holy Ghost – I’m free
Jesus makes me smile Oh don’t he make me smile He’s never far away Or too tired to say – I love you He whispers I am here His spi – rit is near And in the dark of the night He’s still amazing to me
Now people like to talk Oh don’t they love to talk They stab you in the back But Jesus knows where your at – So walk on Christ is praying for you Sta – nd tall and strong Pay the gossip no mind God will get the glory in time
And when you get behind closed doors And your in the secret place He will let his Glo-ry fall Then you will know – through the Holy Ghost – we’re free Rewritten by Danny & Sherri Brown June 5, 1999 @ RFC in Moore OK Bob Chitwood had asked Danny to change the words to this song after hearing him play some chord progressions on the piano that somewhat resembled it. Danny and Sherri changed the words the next morning and sang it before the morning service. Danny liked it so much that he sang it the following sunday back home preaching at Bethany Chapel .
The San Andreas fault It’s a big one yes I know Deep shifting from the earth’s heart They say soon it’s gonna go When the ground starts shaking The earth starts quaking Men are gonna run and roam But no one wants to believe They are living on the fault line
Living on the fault line Playing a game with time Living on the fault line Just daring to defy But the word is out, and the message written When it all comes down You’ll be regretting It’s just a matter of time When you’re living on the fault line
So many want to live On the line between wrong and right Something is gonna give Both just won’t survive it You’ll either love the one And hate the other One’s contrary to another It ought to make you shudder When you’re living on the fault line
Where to lay the blame It’s the question of our day Why am I this way? Because of someone else you say At the judgment call, when the verdict’s given You’ll find who answers For you actions Ain’t no one’s fault but yours You’re living on the fault line Written By: Daniel A. Theirs Nothing To Hold Me Back Now 184 Now I know there are times When my days are as night Even in sunshine, the darkness abides And I know there are times When I’m tempted and doubt But you’ve taught through the shadow you guide
Theirs nothing to hold me back now Sunshine and blue sky abound The sadness, the sorrows, have taught me somehow Theirs nothing to hold me back now
Now it’s clear, I can hear And my eyes can see That good things, must follow the rain And in time, the sunshine Will shine bright once again And you’ll see clearly, you’ve grown through the pain Written By: Daniel A. Brown III July 19, 1998 @ 12:45 a.m.
Dyeing To Live (Or Just Living To Die) 185 So many things, so many distractions, so many desires Everywhere you turn, there’s something else, to catch your eye If we don’t die, to our serf and sin When we finish this life, our living will end If our life’s not hid, in Jesus Christ We’re just living to die
Are you dyeing to live – in Jesus Christ Dyeing to give – him all your life Every day more – of his power and might Climbing up higher – Or is your heart filled – with the cares of this life Do you measure your worth – by the things you acquire Fun fortune and fame – living for today You’re just living to die
Walking by faith, living by grace, happy am I Dead to my sin, living in him, he is my life More like him, I long to be His life I will live, throughout eternity To have more of him, there must be less of me I’m just dyeing to live
They sit down and eat, rise up to play, having fun is their life All fun and games, uphold your family name, making money ain’t a crime Live life to it’s fullest, get all that you can Look out for number one, that’s the way to get ahead What good will this whole world do, when your dead You’re just living to die

I Offer You My Sacrifice Of Praise 186 F I offer you my sacrifice of praise
To you alone my voice – I raise
I sing to you my song – now and always
For you alone – are worthy to be praised

Stand Still – and you will see the salvation Stand still – and you will see the salvation Don’t doubt – don’t run – don’t you be afraid Remember on the cross he paid it Stand still – and you will see the salvation
Jehoshaphat and all Judah cried out to the Lord We have no might against this great army Be not afraid – don’t you be dismayed The battles not yours – but it is the Lord’s Stand still – and you will see the salvation
Pharoah drew nigh to the children of Israel They were sore afraid & cried out to the Lord Fear not – stand still – the Lord shall fight for you Moses said – Hold your peace – for his word is true The enemy you see this day – you’ll see no more
When we’re tempted and our faith begins to wavering Don’t fear – just cry out to the Lord He’ll make a way – where there is no way He’ll never leave – nor will he forsake What he did back then – he’ll still do today

War, drugs & violence Teenage suicide Rape and prostitution Murder on the rise Our children toten pistols Babies dying in our schools In the world’s shape today Tell me what’s it gonna take To bring us to our knees
Aids and strange disease Kill on every hand Hate crimes and genocide War in every land Children by the millions Crying for some food to eat In the world’s shape today Tell me what’s it gonna take To bring us to our knees
The Lord he has promised If his people bow to pray Humble themselves and seek his face Turn from their wicked ways He would hear from heaven Forgive their sin and heal the land In the world’s shape today Tell me what’s it gonna take To bring us to our knees

I got a hole in my Pocket A hole in my soul A hole in my heart, and it won’t let go Got a hole, So I gotta get more
Got a new home A new sports car New clothes, TV and a VCR Working hard, I gotta get more
Got a good Job Live in the city Living just as good as all those around me But I’m Poor, I gotta get more
(Cho.)You can get more and more I guess But the more you get, more becomes less Keep on getting more and more – without the Lord You gotta get more
But when you reach the end of your rope You’ll see that more don’t fill that hole All that time you wasted – working for more All you needed was the Lord
With Jesus – there’s no hole in your pocket No hole in your soul No hole in your heart – that won’t let go You got the Lord – don’t need no more
Don’t need a new home Don’t need a new sports car New clothes, TV and a VCR You got the Lord – you don’t need no more
Don’t need a new job Don’t need to live in the city Or to live like those who live around ya’ You got the Lord – you don’t need no more
Your rich not poor – you don’t need no more
With Jesus Christ on board – you don’t need no more Written By Daniel A. Brown III September 9, 2000
He never promised me – that life would go down easy He never said – that there would be no pain He never promised days of only sunshine But the sun will always shine after the rain He never said that, my friends would not, forsake me He never said I’ll not taste of poverty But he always has a promise I can stand on If I’m faithful through it all he’ll meet my need
Jesus, he is coming, very soon Coming, to redeem, his chosen few Coming, like a thief in the midnight For those, who are clothed in spotless white It’s not for gain, but for the crown that’s laid before me Will you trade this world for one that’s yet to come Preparation has already been made for you And the trumpet will be sounding very soon
It’s not a great escape – but a great reward Make no mistake – it’s written in his word We live a life of sacrifice Living in but not of this world It’s not a great escape – but it’s a great reward
Heaven was not made – for our eternal playground A fantasy of dreams and make-believe It’s the throne of God – the holy habitation Of seraphims and angels around our King Heaven is not – a fire escape from hells flames Nor salvation – ticket to heavens – lottery Relationship with God is where the faith ends To know him in – the fellowship – of his suffering
If you’ll come after me – take up your cross and follow Deny yourself – lay down your life for him Endure your affliction as a good soldier When your race is run – you’ll enter in See heaven is a place for the holy Only over-comers will be welcomed there As our Lord – who for the joy – set before him Endure the cross – despise the shame – and you will win
It’s not the power – over all the evil forces Not the freedom – but the liberty I see Not his knowledge or his power to deliver But it’s knowing through it all – he still loves me There is a brother – there’s a sister – who is weaker There’s a sinner primed and ready to be saved Though we pray even so come Lord Jesus Till he splits the eastern sky I’ll be found working
Written By: Daniel A. Brown III September 18/19, 2000 So many of us want a crown without a cross, a mountain top with out the climb and even heaven without the life of sacrifice and surrender that accompanies that great reward. But what reward is there without first there be a test? And what glory could there be in a crown you did not earn? See heaven is the great reward. Jesus said in Rev 3:21, “To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.”(KJV) Paul said in 2 Tim 4:6-8, “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: (8) Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day…(KJV) It’s the goal, the prize, the reward. Chilly Jordan is the finish line and heaven is our reward. Why do we insist on finding some supernatural way out or around what God has ordained and appointed us to do… Light this darkened world. It may not be popular, it may not be easy, it may not be fun… but believe me friend the same God of Moses is our God today… and as Moses left all the riches of Egypt for “he had respect unto the recompence of the reward”. In other words “… the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” Rom 8:18 ( KJV) The Glory will be revealed in us. The crown I receive I will lay at the feet of my Savior, my Redeemer, my Lord and my King. Jesus will be what makes it heaven for me.
As Iron sharpens iron Faith kindles faith Two standing together Grow stronger every day In the power of agreement We cause all hell to shake We sharpen one another As iron sharpens iron
Now I may not agree With your philosophy I may not see everything Exactly as you see If we agree on one thing That Jesus Christ is King I’ll challenge you, you challenge me Much stronger we will be
You may be persuaded You don’t need anyone You think you can make it All on your own No man is an island You’re one member of his body His eyes need his ears His hands need his feet Written By: Daniel A. Brown III Thursday September 20, 2000
He said that he would make a way Where there seems – to be no way He knows how to make a way for you For it’s when you face your darkest hour He has the chance to show his power In your weakness – his strength is made brand new As you walk from day to day Walking down this narrow way That leads from the cradle to the grave Know that he is leading you Every hour he’s keeping you He stands behind every promise made
He comes through, in the hard times Through, all of Satan’s lies When every ray of hope is gone His love comes shining through He comes through, in the nick of time Through the doubt, that clouds your mind When it comes to “Cain’t be done” He comes through
The wind blew strong, the waves blew high The ship was tossed from side to side They said master – don’t you care – we’re about to die So Jesus rose from where he lay Said “oh ye of little faith” With “peace be still” the wind and waves obeyed Paul and Silas locked up tight Praying along about midnight They began to sing to God a song of praise As God heard their anthem His spirit moved among them Every band was loosed – as Holy Ghost – shake that place

I saw a vision of Hell and I trembled Saw a child with no home and cried I tasted of death’s chilling waters And I ran to my savior to hide Then I walked through the valley of temptation And I fell, beneath sin’s, heavy load But I awakened to find – Him still standing in line Waiting – till his name I call
So I call on Him – He calls me friend Till the long bitter end – he holds my hand Through the trials of life The temptation and strife Even times when my light grows dim He still calls me friend And he has a plan And I stand when I call on him
Many a good man has stumbled And many a lost child come home Only to find one not willing To forgive and forget and move on But Jesus has promised all believers A love and a grace without end He’s knocking my friend Won’t you let him in Just listen and do as I did Written By: Daniel A. I stand amazed and offer you my praise For you alone, hold the power, to heal and save I lift your name on high Lord – you – Be glorified I stand amazed and offer you my praise

In the cool of the Evening The soft morning dew In the still of the midnight Your strength is made new / Your faithful and true When down in the valley Or on the mountain high I am with you Lord Your strength is mine
Walk right beside me Lead me I pray Bring me to your river Don’t let me stray Teach me to linger In your presence serene There nothing can hinder For you are my strength

Time is a friend, To the broken heart Cause time, keeps moving on How dark the night, Or how dim the light In time the morning will come So let’s work while it’s day, As time ticks away For soon the night surly comes I’ll sing my song, As time marches on Cause I know, it won’t be long
It won’t be long And I’ll sing my song Gathered round the throne In my new home For one eternal day We will worship and praise So while theirs time I must say Friend, it won’t be long
Now friend if you, Have a load to bear At times it just seems to strong The way is hard, The road is dark And sometimes the way seems so long Through time and space, The Lord makes a way Reach up, and you’ll find his hand He’s proven he can, Time and again Just remember, friend, it won’t be long Written By: Daniel A. Brown III May 30, 2001 Walking in darkness Lost and alone in this world In the black of the night With no hope and no light No reason in life to live for Then a word or a song From a heart that belongs To the God who made everyone Then faith is met With the Power of the Spirit In a moment, new life is born
What a man seeth Why doth he yet hope for What he holds in his hand Takes no faith, understand Even natural man can assure But when eye can not see And reason defeats The faith that you’re building on Put your faith in his word In the Gospel you’ve heard Stand – for his promise is sure
Afraid and ashamed Scared to face my disgrace Longing for life Where’s there’s nothing disguised No reason to hide my face The sin and the shame A continual refrain With no hope, that ever, I’ll change Then a soft voice is heard I hear the sweet word And find there is strength for today Written By: Daniel A. Brown III June 12, 2001
I have a hand, I have a hope I have friend, I have a home I have a shelter, I’m safe from the cold I have a helper, He is my all
(You see) I thought I could stand, all alone I thought I could make it, without anyone I thought I could get by, all on my own But I can’t even stand, so Lord, lead on
Now I had my friends, and I had my fun I had my way, with the thought of no-one When I had my fill, then I had my fall When I tasted death, then I heard his call Written By: Daniel A. Brown III May 30, 2000 |
